I have a personal rule: Don't drive something if I can't afford to replace it.
Well, if she messed it up (which I doubt, cuz she has mad driving skills) I'm sure they could work out some kind of, um, trade that would more than make it up to him.
Going to strip one of my customized fender basses down for new paint tomorrow.
Both of them are black, but I have some left over Kandy Tangerine (That was not a spelling error...House of Kolor spells all of the Kandy colors in their Kosmic Kolor collection with Ks)
So fender style jazz bass, done in kandy tangerine, with a little added orange pearl, and this pickguard
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
I talked to the maker and ordered one double thickness, without the backing plate

of course it will have matching headstock... I think it looks cheap when the headstock doesn't match, on something custom.
Factory basses without matching headstock is one thing, but if someone takes the time to strip, customize, and refinish one, it should all be done.

What did you go and say that for? Now that's the what I want to hear about.....and it sounds like it was either "lose an eye disastrous" or "entirely hilarious."
How many times have you checked the tracking number already?
I have a new toy supposed to arrive Tuesday. I'm checking with UPS 3-4 times a day. In a perfect world it would have a GPS in the box that I could follow real time as it moved across the country.

That is an AWESOME color! My son-in-law just did a [del]Kustom[/del] custom truck in that color. It was his "I'm so glad it's not some other idiot that hit a deer" midwinter special job.

Lol..more times than I care to admit. I'm not all that patient, and would have gone to a store within 100 miles to buy one if it were in stock.

Ahhh...what an evening. The Lakland is out and I'm playing during commercials while I channel flip between Great Performances at the Met: Anna Bolena and VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Now if the dog would just stop barking at the drummer on next street over, the evening would be almost *almost* perfect.

yeah...not going into what you would like to have your hands on now...
It may be three or four weeks before I get the pickguard. The guy is in Germany, and I did special order something, so he obviously cannot ship immediately. He says these are cut out and tooled by hand, so it will probably take him a little time to make mine.

Yeah?????? Hmmmmm.......since you don't wanna talk about it, I'm very soon going to be relegated to making up my own story and then telling everyone I know.
The worst is when it has to spend the weekend in the facility 30 miles from you, because they won't let you just pick it up, and they won't deliver it until Monday. AAAHHHH!!! That happened to me with my Spector. I almost broke into the local UPS facility to get it.
