CWB 12 - The Dirty Dozen

As a young man with my own apartment, I learned a few things that stayed with me. The first time a young lady stayed over unexpectedly she groaned in the morning about not having a toothbrush. (This was in 1977.)

Since then I always kept a few brand new toothbrushes in their packages on hand, just in case. It has come in handy when friends would party harder than they expected and stay over too. Our guestroom is always ready. (I'm such a freaking boyscout.)

Thinking ahead and being planful is a great quality. I'm slightly less prepared. I'm more likely to be the one who drops my toothbrush in the toilet while trying to simulataneously brush my teeth, dry my hair and put on mascara. Then, I would have to steal hubby's toothbrush! :D

This conversation reminded me of something I hadn't thought of in a loooong time.

In the late 70's or 80's when a young lady would come home with me after a gig, (it happened on occasion) the next morning seeing her in her clubwear wouldn't look as attractive. On the other hand, if a one night stand happens to have a change of clothes with her I had other concerns.

Tom Clement is a luthier out of Florida, does really amazing work. I can't wait to get my hands on this one! It was so fun to choose everything - body style, wood, electronics - right down to where you want the pups and control knobs. I also told him I wanted to keep the weight down, and he was a big help in figuring out how to do that and also get everything I wanted in terms of tone and look. :hyper:
