DT, offer them $50 for it on the spot provided it works.
They'll take it. They probably bought it in for $25. Those old BW speakers take a tremendous amount of abuse and still sound great.

the peavey gear I've owned took a lot of punishment and was none the worse for it.

Hi Tat!

So, I have to ask...

Is it exciting?

...watching paint dry

Well...it's like this.....

First, it's like a WP factor of 20+ because I'm like really excited that I'm getting this room redone.

Then, it's like a WP factor of 10+ because even though the workload is diminishing the excitement and exhaustion is setting in, I'm still making progress.

Then, it's like a WP factor of about 2 because for everything I get to check off the list, there are 8 more things I have to add on.

Now, it's like a WP factor of -3 and I am SO over this whole painting thing. All the men on the planet should be thrilled that they haven't been dating me right now, because I'd probably promise them the moon just to get them to finish this for me.

And...that's how it is. :D

The managers of the drummer departments of both local stores are close friends, so we actually end up having a beer together at one of our gigs. lol

My nephew Jimmy and my birthday is coming up. (We were both born on May third.) Everyone is wanting to make a big deal about it. I want to honor Jimmy, but anything even remotely resembling a celebration is inappropriate in my eyes. I'd like to go to lunch or dinner with my sister and her family and otherwise act like it's just another day. My friends and family don't see it the same way as me at all.

It's been two and a half months since his body was found and I still well up every time I think about him. (which is every day)

I can understand why you feel the way that you do. I don't have any suggestions as to what you could do. I lost both my father and my grandfather in 2009. My father committed suicide in March and my grandfather died of natural causes in November (the day that I found out that he had passed, my wife and I made a bid on the house that we are currently living in..sort of bittersweet). I don't know why, but my wife brings up the anniversary of their deaths every year since. I gently tell her that I don't need to be reminded, since they are never far from my thoughts.

Sorry Mike. Everyone deals with grief so differently. Hopefully there is some kind of compromise that can be made. :hmm:
