I'm such a nerd I'd want to play bass by the pool

Does that make me a nerd too? I've gone out and played by the pool. There's room in the corner of the lanai for an amp, a stand, standing room, dancing room, and a table for my drink. All without having to move the other stuff outside the screen.

Did I mention the pool is screened, too? That makes it nice. Less bugs to deal with.

I just love starting a job, then discovering that the individual in charge of procuring the parts is a complete idiot :scowl: :help::eyebrow: He was even provided with the correct part numbers from the start.

Mulebagger, I was one of those funny-talkin' people once upon a time. I grew up in the southwestern corner of Virginia and came out to California after joining the Marines. I grew tired of people continually asking me to repeat myself (because they couldn't understand me), so I gradually lost the accent.

Incompetence should be painful, shouldn't it?

Furry, you and Tat should install the floor together. Hope you post some bassvids after the trip

I now have a video camera. And some random sort of video editing software. And a tripod. I'm guessing we could get video, but you probably won't hear the bass over all the giggling. But if that's okay - then we should be able to do that.

... Anybody that's not from around there "talks funny"....

Due to the reclusive nature and anti-authoritarian philosophies of the early settlers and a terrain that inhibits travel West Virginia was the last location on earth where pure Chaucerian English was still spoken. Many of the syntax and proununciation errors attributed to "stupid hill billies" is actually remants of a purer form of English than what we speak today.

So what kind of stuff are peeps playing these days?

For our next gig we are adding some interesting covers to our originals:
Jeff Beck-Scatterbrain
Living Color- this is the life
Galactic - vilified
Cake - stick shifts and safety belts
Blue man Group- up on the roof

Just some different stuff to sing n play

Etoncrow, Morgantown was a rather metropolitan oasis nestled in the hills. I only noticed the accents in the children I taught in rural locations. some of the most wonderful kids I've ever had the pleasure to work with.
