Thank you, thank you! I had it all the way to 10, but I was having to work on the small amp after the bigger one started with some kind of weird whine about midway through the jam. :(:( I'm in the process of getting it looked at and fixed now. I had to swap over to the little guy mid-jam and it's just not quite as loud. This will be remedied, however. I promise. :D

Well, I sprung for a new cabinet today. It's not the lightweight 15 that I was searching for (I did play through a GK 115MBE today that really really made me happy..except for the price tag). I also played through a used Legion Sound 210 cabinet that actually sounded pretty good for being a budget cabinet. Unfortunately, they were asking way too much for it and wouldn't move on the price. I ended up buying a Seismic 210 online for less than what the used LS 210 was going for. I should be getting it sometime this week.

Wife found out that she got her hours back too..pretty good weekend so far!

My instructor has been on me relentlessly lately to get out and play and he invited me to sit in with his blues band tonight. Holy crap, these guys are GOOD, they all have long resumes, but it was my job to hold it down for them and make them sound good my first time out.

I played 4 songs and the only one I even heard of was the second one, The Thrill is Gone. The fun part is we played it in A minor instead of B minor so, for the only song I kind of knew how to play, I had to transpose it in real time. The other three songs I don't even remember the names of. I just got told the key and off we went.

All the guys were really supportive and were helping me out with the chord changes. I know I made made mistakes but when I missed something because I didn't know the song, someone would help me out so I got it the next time. So, overall, I had a blast and I was told it sounded good. I only wish I could have heard what I was playing. I had the PA speaker at my head and my cabinet was at my feet on the floor, so I'll have to take their word for it.

My wife only got one grainy cell phone photo, but at least there's "evidence". I'm guessing Chuck will approve of my choice of bass. :D

I enjoyed it all Tat.

I have played "Dead Flowers" (on drums) probably more times over the years than Charlie Watts has. It one of the only songs that my brother sang lead on. I would sing the Keith Richards parts in the chorus. When you come through town the next time we'll make sure that we do that tune.

"Mary Janes last dance" is currently on the "Feral" set list.

You look like you are having fun, but no bass face. ;)

Thanks for your moral support Tat. (Or was that immoral support?) We got through the funeral today. Jackie is having an amazingly rough time with her dad in Richmond. He is home recovering from back surgery after his fall, but the Alzheimers is making him a very difficult patient.

Keep them in your thoughts.

Hey Tat! When we lock in the set list can I PM it to you (well I could post it public actually). But can you let me know anything that you would sing with or even grab my Rickenbacker and give me a break? Assuming you make it here that is. I can send you tracks of "our version" of a song to get the start and stop bits.

Send away on the set list when it's locked in. If you have an early version that's still soft, please go ahead and share it. For vox, I can probably adapt pretty fast. For bass - my song list is highly limited so the more you can tell me, the better. I'll know Monday if the trip is still on for work - and work on getting my schedule lined up by Tuesday either way. I'm expecting that I might be in town the night before (if everything stays on track) so if there's time for you and I to run through stuff ahead of time, that would be awesome - if not - well - we'll figure it out.

All good for that Tat. Just if your are staying in Mississauga it is about an hour from my house using a toll road. Longer by 15 minutes avoiding them. A chance that the whole band will be gathering at my house on Friday night to do a few songs. I'll get the soft list to you though. This will be so cool!

If the work piece stays in play, it'll be Mississauga. But once that's done, I'm on my own time and they won't make me stay there. I might hit you up in PM to find a better place to stay depending on what I find out on Monday at the office.

I like reverse staggered P pickups, they give off a unique sound. My old Ibanez had that - such a yummy sound. I kinda miss it.
