CWB 16: Taking Canada

Tat, I hope you're writing this stuff down. I see book and screenplay written all over these experiences. Can't wait for the huge CWB GTG at the premier of the movie! :D

... and, especially, the after party!!!!
:D

;)

:hiding:

I should be sending it over to add to that website "here's what crazy looks like in text messages." But I prefer to have my own adclicks revenue stream. :D

***bangs head on desk***

Now he's dumped me three times since 6AM. People in the office are trying to figure out why I'm laughing. And I'm three times as relieved as I was when he dumped me last week (after I told him I didn't want to see him anymore).

Usually the line is "That's what SHE said!", but that's one of those rare "That's what HE said!" occasions! :D

And, dang, you were up early, PA!

LOL re: that's what HE said. I thought somebody might take the joke, just wasn't sure who or what form it would take. You didn't disappoint, Dave. (Another that's what SHE said joke there?) :)

Yeah, I was up in the middle of the night getting my son to eat something before the deadline - he's having ear tubes put in today and couldn't eat past a certain time. Surgery's not til 4 this afternoon, so I thought that would help him not feel quite so hungry today.

Oh, forgot to tell ya'll. I picked up a 5 string Spector. Needed a 5-er for one of the bands I'm in. It's got a nice growl. Getting used to that B string isn't as tricky as I thought it would be. Chick with bass pics should be forthcoming soon. :)

You heard correctly. I will be your way next week. I'm flying in on Monday night and will leave on Wednesday evening. I expect that Tuesday they're going to want to do a team thing at dinner, but I'm the only one in town on Monday AFAIK, so we should try to meet up for a drink or something. Flight lands at 6 barring delays in ATL. By the time I do the rental car/hotel check-in thing, I'm not sure what time it will be. I'm staying down in Groveport while I'm in town.

Itinerary headed your way via e-mail later today.

No despair here. Texting dude just demonstrated how big of a bullet I just dodged. For which I'm eternally grateful. So now it's time to learn a new song and move on. :D

Awesome. I'll drop you an email in a bit. :hyper::hyper:

There's only one way to find out for sure, PA. Only one way .... :D ;)

How old? My son was about 15 months when he had them put in and he did fine. It seemed like feeling the anesthesia while being away from us kind of freaked him out, but when we went back to see him he settled right down. The tubes also seemed to work wonders for him. I don't think he ever had an ear infection after that (both had fallen out by the time he was about 6 or 7).

And congrats on the Spector. Though I'm surprised you actually put down your Clement long enough to play another bass. ;)

What model did you get? I have a Spector and love mine. Now you need to get yourself over and join up the Spector club, too. We have an offshoot over on Facebook, so I'll send you an invite to that one, as well. The Spector crowd here on TB is a pretty nice group, but not quite as close-knit as this one here on CWB.

:eyebrow: :rollno: you 2 timing on your bass PA?

I got this one, PA, since I'm the one who pointed that out.

Uhhhhh, she had to get another bass. She didn't want to completely drain the mojo out of YOURS too fast.

Someone say it, don't let me down! :D

I envy you that trip. I'd trade off my son to go. But since I can't go along....I can't wait until pictures so I can live vicariously through your expedition.

I will be in Thor country on Friday, at Upton Bass which is not far from where Thor lives. However, since he is on the road, no get-together was in the cards. I'll send pics from Upton Bass, though. (Upright heaven ...)

And you, Tat, seem to get together with a CWB or MoCWB every week ... still hoping to do that one of these days. :bassist:

I'm watching "Lemmy" on Palladia while searching the web for a possible cure to my bike's cooling system woes. I look up at the TV at the wrong time and this image has been burned into my brain.

That's just wrooooong!!

Chuck we will make it happen - trust me on this. I'm not sure work will send me quite far enough to see you and Thor and Mike again...but I'm wracking up the frequent flier miles and I can go anywhere Delta goes on those. :D

EYE BLEACH!!!! I need eye bleach! My corneas have been seared to the back of my brain!

Yeah - smooth. That's just the word I was looking for. This morning's nirvana began with "I've decided I'm done begging to see you." My thought was...."Thank everyone holy I can think of, my prayers have been answered and I no longer have to resort to black magic." And he hasn't shut up yet. My phone is on silent, but that little red light just keeps blinking and it's been blowing up all morning.

It's too bad ya'll live so far away from me. I'd hire you as screeners. That would be interesting, I think.

In the interim, I'm seriously considering this blog thing. Really seriously.

Not all calls are bad... I called.
