CWB: 24 Have Two-Four; Will Travel

Mike, it's hard to believe it's been that long, but it has, and we've been through a lot together. I've still got your back, buddy. ;)

Good luck on the gig - you'll do fine! You've got this.

On the CWB GTG - it's far too long overdue. I volunteer my house for it! But if Atlanta doesn't suit, just let me know the when and where with enough advance notice to schedule the time off from work.

The guitarist for this band gave me some CDs of them practicing, honestly it was pretty rough. A lot of it I think was the drummer's fault. He was very tentative on a lot of the songs, he didn't drive the band.

Yesterday we practiced and rolled through all three sets. There are some things that we need to work on of course, but overall it went pretty well.

I played pretty straight, not showy at all, but apparently I blew them away. The guitarist said that losing their drummer could be the best thing that ever happened to them.

There were a couple of songs where the singer turned around before we started them and said, "I can't wait to hear you play this!"

That was sort of cool.

A CWB get together? Yeah, that would be pretty cool.

I talked to Jackie and we could host it as well. Georgia would be cool too. (I mean warm...)

I think we could probably pull it off but for now keep us on the 'alternative - last-resort' list.

Actually, Pittsburgh is reasonably centrally located for many of the active players in this little community -- or at least, the "East Coast" contingent... Atlanta would be fine too - haven't been to that part of the world for a long while.

So far my travel time is pretty flexible. Joy is changing jobs and I have no idea how long it'll be before she has any vacation time accrued.

Cooking, eating, yes we are about that as well.

We put a gourmet kitchen in this old house too.

These pictures were taken before all of the trim work was done, but you get the idea.
