I can certainly understand the bass preferring it the other way around.
EDIT - Well, I hope "someone who can do it a lot more justice than I can" isn't the only reason. I'd bet there are fewer than ten people on TB who CAN'T do a lot more justice to my basses than I can. But I'm not getting rid of any of them, well, at least not any of the big three.
