There were no kitty litter drinks. And no licked strippers. I was fighting off a migraine so we went shopping instead. FM locked me in a fitting room and threw clothes over the door at me for hours, forcing me to try on everything in the store in my new size. She had a blast and I did end up with a couple of cute new outfits even if I do find shopping to be something akin to torture. She almost turned it fun, though.

Then we went to eat at a random little strip mall hibachi place. OMFG! I have never seen so much food in one place. There were so many choices you couldn't even possibly taste everything. Definitely a place to go back to when I'm in town again.

Awww...thank you. Met so many people yesterday. My amber baby was tweaked (set up and string change), by His Holiness, Carl Pedigo. Got to meet Greg Rzab and John Howard. John even came out to dinner with a group of us and hung out. I think the plan is to set up a GTG in Florida in the not so distance future.

I'm also looking for a cab smaller & lighter than my Peavey 410 @ 81 pounds. The small rooms I play in this cab is over-kill. I've been using it since I bought my Shuttle Max as all my other amps are comb's, not bad combo's but not quite the sound I'm looking for. The sound I'm getting with the GB 12.0 & Peavey cab is the closest I've come yet to my "Holy Grail".

If I could find a reasonable 2-10 or preferably a 2-12 cab I'd be ecstatic. However there aren't many of those available used around here & I'm not prepared to pay the kind of money for these cab's my local music store wants.

I'm fortunate that all our speakers & PA gear stay in a trailer so we don't have to hump it all in in the house after a gig and at most of our gigs we can load/unload the trailer close to the stage area (no stairs).

I know it's not exactly "light" but the BagEnd D10BX-D is a smoking cabinet for the size and at 70lbs its stout, but nothing like a 4x10. 400 watts and down to 40hz. If you wanted one that could hang in pretty much any situation, that's the cab. Handles a low B wo flinching.

Hope everyone is well. I can feel the winds from the Furricane a whole tank of gas away :)

Wish I could have made the Lakie gtg, but then I'd probably want one. Best not to toy with GAS!

All this talk of Lakelands and Marcus Miller basses makes me miss my 75 Jazz. You can never look back though. This thing was absolutely spent and in need of complete restoration when I finally let it go.

Still have the first year Dimarzio Jazz Pickups from that bass. If one of you die hard Jbass CWB/MoCWB peeps want them, I'll dig them up and give them to a good home. Hundreds of gigs, countless practices and crazy solo bass shows logged in on those pickups.

Still have an old J card from the album with that bass on it. Ha, it was cheaper to do cassettes. What a tool that I didn't spend the coin to get them done up in CD format. :rollno:

So after work tonight I started putting my "punk rawk" bass back together. It was taken apart and originally meant to be refinished but I think I like the beat up, abused look. Not to mention some super handy electronics work [yeah right...] done by yours truly. She's an older Squier Bronco, red with a white spray paint [subject to change] pickguard, the pickup is from a Fender Strat guitar, "lefty" wiring [my excuse for wiring the volume pot wrong so that when you turn down...it turns up.], empty hole where the volume knob used to be...it's not in the tone knob spot because everyone knows you don't need "thump" in punk. It's due for some Sharpie graffiti and stickers. Essentially, it's like the complete opposite of MBs Fodera hahaha.

I think I might change the pickup to something that doesnt hum so much but other than that she plays pretty nice. :smug:
