Make that Thumpketeer.
Stupid iPad app kinda sucs.

At least you still have an app..the talkbass app for Android got canc'd!!

Our second gig (this time we're getting paid..YAY!) is this Saturday. I've had the band equipment (Drums and PA) in my garage for a week since the guitarist, who owns said equipment, doesn't have a vehicle suitable for hauling the gear. Kinda debating running the 210+115 for this one, not that I was hurting for volume at the last gig.

Hi Deej! Moving sucks, but at least this time it's moving into a place that you own!

Hi guys, sorry it's been a while but been so busy with my condo purchase, moving and some other stuff (including a bit of a depressive low) but thought I'd check in.

wow, a Deej sighting and Tat plus Furry out on the town. Must be a CWB full moon tonight!

I'm outa here to Dublin tomorrow (the one in Ireland, not the one in Ohio, although that would be a good reason to visit PA.) Back next Wednesday. :bassist:

And yes.......it's a DREADED 210/115 stack that belongs to me in the first picture......:)

So..gig #2 is in the bag. All in all it went well, except for my singing parts in the second set. I consumed a couple pints during the break, which resulted in some CRS moments when it came time for me to sing. Not too happy about that.

BSB, cool pics, how did the 210+115 work for you?

Tat, looks like you had a blast!

I really liked it a lot!

I did get significantly more volume than just with the 210 alone. I was able to stay very conservative with my settings (drive/vol) and get everything I needed, not to mention I really liked the sound. Really glad I went with this setup, it adds a lot more depth than just running the 210 alone. The bandmates were like, "Oh wow.....can you turn that down some?". He he. And the volume never went over about 4 or 5.

We ran thru our new (to us) PA yesterday and everything was decent for the most part. But...actually, we have our sights on a brand new system because the BL sold off a bunch of his DJ equipment and has a chunk of $$ to play with, he sold his stuff to finance a newer, better PA system.

The big question now....he wants to go with active mains and subs (powered), and use our current mixer/amp just to run the monitors. I think he settled on some equipment, just wants to be sure it'll do the job.

That's great! I'm glad you are happy with it!

@DT-

Hey man, it's not IF you screw up, it's what you do to cover it. I'm sure it wasn't too bad. I flub up all the time!

Glad show #2 went down okay!

I clammed up until the next line came up. Nobody really noticed except for myself and my band mates. Still..not happy with myself, and it was a learning experience for me. A pint before the gig starts is fine, but stay away during the break!!

I do not remember ever sharing this with ya'll. If I did then I apologize for having a "senior moment". I do not have anything to share from the present but here is a link to a tribute page for a band I was in 35 years ago...hope you enjoy it.

Yep, you shared it already Crow! Enjoyed it then and am enjoying it now.
