No, and what makes it not fake, is they do come out with the product - why would they spend the $ advertising?

Usually those who subscribe to a magazine get them a couple of weeks before hitting the shelves... Therefore if that issue hits shelves for February these strings will have started shipping by next week.

I noticed the blurb says they're great for fingerstyle players and slap players. So as a pick player it sounds like these may not be for me.

If you like a flexible responsive string, then I would give them a try. People say flats are best for finger style, but there are more than a few bass players playing flats with picks...

I'm gonna assume that this is D'Addario's response to the DR Hi Beam/Fat Beam thing. SLaPiNFuNK, out of curiosity, are you allowed to mention which string sets are your best sellers? I would think that DR rounds are probably at or near the top.

I think the extra flexibility in these strings will make them more responsive than Pro Steels.

(Interesting aside: I went on the D'Addario website to look at tension charts - and not only are Flex Steels not on, but Pro Steels have disappeared too. I'm guessing they're updating both.)

Yes singles will be coming soon! It took a couple of months after the balanced tension sets came out to release the .067 .107 and .160 singles.

I ordered the lightest gauge 4 string sets.
