Nice!! That color looks like the Steve Harris bass, very cool!!
Yeah my first thought was that this was a Harris with the mirrored pickguard removed. I actually prefer the look with this pickguard.
I have a MIM Precision I picked up used for $200 and dug so much that I sold my American Standard (although my top recording basses remain my 57 and 62 American Vintage Reissues). The MIMs are great value and great basses across the board.

I had a pbass special(iirc it had a jazz neck), it was ok but made me realize that I prefer standard p necks... I much prefer the older MIJ ones to any American ones I've played though, so maybe nowadays id get on well with a MIM!!??

oh yeah, I much prefer maple over rosewood for fretboards, much brighter tone... Yeah, the OP scored on that one!!
