Pulled the trigger on a Bloop tonight. Couldn't wait any longer. Can't wait to throw few pedals into it!!
#all-in! Well I would say with a tube rig, a mdb1 and a bloop everything should be “good enough”

Holy crap. The DOD carcosa set to a mild dist into the MBD sounds AMAZING! Wow. I could play with these 2 alone for my dirt and be quite happy.
I just went down the same path using the Electrofoods Eye of Ra for a mild overdrive into the MBD - crazy good! The Ra is like a "clean" channel and MDB is the dirty channel.
With my new Bloop incoming, does anyone have any suggestions for pedals they have tried and really like paired with it? Suddenly I have the want to buy a bunch of cheap dirt pedals.... Wish I never sold my DOD 250 a while back.

Really any pedal is going to sound better through it. I’ve tried the Rat tail (I REALLY like what it does for the RT), X7, para drive, EHX green Russian reissue, blower box, 250 clone and a couple others I can’t remember atm.
When I first got it, the way I use it (it’s always on and effecting my whole chain), I thought it would be too full for my tastes. I really like my biting and zingy treble content. It filled out my sound in a way I just wasn’t sure about. But after some EQ tweaking on my preamps, it ended up becoming a really great addition. It added that fullness and warmth to my zingy and attack filled tone and the combo of those two are just plain awesome.
It makes everything better, but it really helps fuzzes that loose bottom when turned up. So far my fav pedals in the Bloop are in order:
1: BAT Black Sheep
2: DA V4B
3: Boss DS-1 Distortion
4: MXR Classic Overdrive alone or into any of the above for total insanity.
I would try the DOD Carcosa in the Bloops loop, but it doesn’t play nice with the HXFX. So I have to run it before the HX and not in an effects loop like I have the rest of my dirt ran on my board.
I think it would sound awesome in the Bloop though. Maybe I'll try running all my dirt out of the HX's effects loop this weekend and just do it straight through.

Try the classics known for being low end scant, RATs and Tubescreamers. Anything from the family tree of those pedals can give you good results ime.
But throw anything into the Bloop and see. That's one thing that's great about it, you don't know what combo might give you a new/previously unknown killer dirt tone.
I'm currently running a Han-taun (Klon Centaur) though the Bloop. I have also tried the Dark Glass B3K.
The Han-taun did exactly what I wanted, so I haven't experimented much past it. I eventually want to run all my dirt through it, just for fun!
