Uh, I also totally agree here. All my dirt sounds magnificent through the B7KU. I got that feT and it kinda threw my preamp section into a tizzy. I was trying to run the B7KU without the drive side, I love how it sounds. But then I found the drive side just can’t be taken away from my sound. It adds too much flavor for me. And it’s become a part of my MY sound. But the MBD sounds glorious going into it. I use the MBD1 for OD, the RT for straight raunch that cuts (does lose a little bottom but that’s fine with me), the AOU for smooth, present bass dist and the EHX green Russian for fuzz. I’m so set. I would like to start stacking the MBD1 with the RT though. Gotta mess with order.

I had to take my rat off my board. I used it in very specific spots in songs, where as the MDB-1 is kinda my always on dist. I also use the EHX GR for certain songs when my band gets doomy. But when I would kick on the rat (MXR BD) for those specific parts my band would all look at me like "why can't we hear you dude?!" The MBD-1 and EHX GR both have copious amounts of bottom end, shakes the bleep out of every stage we play with my SVT.

Which rat were you using?? I can’t say the RT is great at low end. But rats aren’t supposed to be great with low end. You add too much Ana starts becoming something other than a rat. So I just crank mine and it rips right through. But even still, all things considered, the RT has pretty decent low end as far as rats go.

The MXR Bass Distortion, I still want to try a Volt Thrower but no one sells them up here in Canada lol

I had the MXR at one time too. It didn’t preform that well in the mix for me either. Sounded great. Just didn’t have what I needed. The Fuzzrocious rat tail otoh does. The volt thrower def has more low end and is a bad ass. To me, the volt thrower was is a mix of the blower box and rat tail. Which for me is pretty awesome. But like you, that pedal is even hard to get ahold of in the States. I’d have one by now if it wasn’t. Maybe someday. But I’m happy with the RT now. And I still have my blower box. The blower box has massive low end too. It’s just the RT performs better in my bands mix overall. Have you given any thought to the blower box? That shouldn’t be too hard to get in Canada....

They came with the pedal, mine is just an early unit of the next special edition run.
Further note that the MBD-1 is in white rather than yellow, and that it (or at least mine) doesn't have the neat line about where it's made.
I'm very happy with how it looks, and happier still with how it sounds.

I’m gonna have to try that. That’s funny because I hadn’t played my UD for forever. I just blew the dust off it last week and was messing with it. Thanks for the tip.

I’m pushing my MBD-1 with some Gasoline.... and yes, Holy Crap!

This combo essentially has booted the rats off my board.

I wanna play too! I just got this and ran it into the MBD-1. Holy crap! This pedal sounds great but once you play it through the MBD-1, you can no longer not play it through the MBD-1. Massive stonerlicious tones.

Tonight at rehearsal I told the guitar player "I hope you brought an extra pair of underwear."
He heard it and said "I'm gonna have to compete with that?"

Hahaha he can try.
