Hell yeah man! I love my Peavey to death. I have my Johnk Centurion pedal but the Reiner Gasoline seems to work really well with my amp without getting in the way with its' own preamp. I think that's why. The amp sounds perfect, and the pedal is just what it needs to sound like it's going full tilt at lower volumes.

I have a Mesa Bass 400, a GK800RB, and a GK400RB sitting in the closet. That's how much I love my MarkIV Peavey.

Yup, sold my MB500. Picked the Centurion up for $120 last year. I'm now pairing it with a Monolith 115BH and it's astonishingly loud, the MBD-2 at low gain settings gives a really nice warmth to the tone. I am going to grab a Centurion pedal at some point when funds allow because that rig barely fits in my car and I'd rather have something a little more compact for recording - either that or get some sort of modeler to clone it - but I'm quite happy with my rickety-ass setup.

I love my Centurion pedal, but I had to fuss a lot with both the preamp on it and my amp -almost like too much of a good thing, lol(it gave my Mesa a good Peavey flavor before I got my amp though).

You might find just a simple, good-sounding dirt pedal to give you all you need for that amp family(the MarkIV has the same "engine", so to speak). The Dirtfixer def makes trying dirt out more fun.

I love my old Peavey gear on guitar - but GK for bass! It's blasphemy to keep those in the closet! ;)

And I'm absolutely in love with my MBD-2 pedals. They've completely killed GAS for the type of tone which I always tried to get via DG pedals.

Honestly the sweet spot for me has been an MBD-2 into a Vintage Ultra, both at lower gain settings. They compliment each other really well. The Vintage, like all DG pedals I've used, is noisy as all hell, though.

Different strokes and all. :)
The Peavey just has the grunt. Even with the dead strings here.
