Damnation Audio Fan/Appreciation Thread

But all I have room for is a mini pedal. I'm gonna check out a Mosky Black Rat and see if that can do it for me.
You should check out the Inverted Cross Audio stuff, he makes most of his pedals available also in micro formats. He does have a rat and an overdrive dedicated for bass (the Lowrider and the Bloodbath), both with filtered clean blends. There is also one labeled Black Knight wich is his take on a B7k he managed to fit in a micro enclosure

Thanks! I'll check it out.

So far so good, add a lot of OOMPH to my fuzz.
Is it me or does the paint on DA pedals chip easier than before?
It barely touched another pedal and white is coming off, just like the newer MBD. I know, its only esthetics ...
Send me some pics. I can show them to my enclosure supplier. Thanks!

Now you mention it I realise I never saw a DA on your channel. Do you plan a demo ? I really like your stuff. You sold me the Coda effects Black Hole, riffs were perfect, I still listen to it like a sweet lullaby sometimes
Oh I’ll definitely do a vid on it at some point. Damnation Audio have loads of cool stuff but I just needed that one thing to come out to push me over the edge to get something from them, and this was it.

I wanted the MBD for ages but felt I generally had similar tones covered elsewhere.

Thanks for the kind words too and glad you liked the Black Hole, I’m getting a Zero Fret Fatamp 120 overdrive/distortion soon that I hope will cover similar ground.

The BPD might be the nastiest grittiest of the bunch. That is a big plus. Im not good at describing pedals so thats all I got.

The Damnation Audio BPD. It has bass. It has power. It has distorter. Good enough.
I agree 100%. My MBD is always on. No way I can do that with the BPD. I still want a Curmudgeon, though... real bad.

Spent more time with the BPD-1.

Started yesterday with my '86 Ibanez roadster II.
Different settings. I like it.

Today, I tried two more basses.
A highly modded Fender with '60s style Thunderbird pickups, and my G&L Kiloton.

I liked both.
And, the way the BPD-1 responded to each bass.

At low gain settings, there's something about the "feel" that it gives.

As @kazuhank has said,
Very natural.

I feel like a large percentage of us are running MBD's at pretty much the same settings you've got there.

Wonder if a micro/smaller enclosure version could be put out with that as the preset, maybe with a boost switch still on there too... That'd be a nice small twofer

Also, good lookin dirty board, right there

Thanks! I'll check it out.
His muff take is awesome as well… not his fault but annoyed mine got lost in shipping over the ocean somewhere between Europe and Australia… ended up getting a cmc muff. Funnily enough despite having had loads of dirt (around 20-30ish?) over the past ten years in my board, the mbd1 is the only one that has never been moved! Even when I rearrange my board it still seems to stay in the same spot.
