Clean off. Depth at noonish. Boost on minimum. It's not exact but that was the settings i started designing the Retro with.

My first approach was to turn off blend and depth. Tone and volume track pretty closely. Beyond that its a matter of matching gain. I found the retro a little bassier so I just mixed in some depth to get them in the same place.
This isnt for sound matching, but my typical MBD settings are (in o’clocks)
Vol 10
Tone 1
Gain 2
Blend 12
Boost 10
Depth 9
I am no longer in danger of the MBD hailing a blimp. New board, new LED diffusers.
How do those attach? Just press on? Magnetic? Or is it a new cover/lens entirely? I see you have a few of them besides those on the MBD.
The bottom is sticky. You just put it right over the LED. I also put them on the HX One because it gets bright too. Especially when you use the flux.
I miss my ol' soundblox pedals. How the heck do you deal with that thing overlapping the top like that??! haha
Recently purchased a MBD3 on the classifieds and I love it so far! I'm still figuring out how to get it dialed in, and I was wondering of anyone could help me understand the tone knob.
On the website it says "Tilt-style tone control for the distortion channel centered around 600hz". Does this just mean to the right it boosts 600 and to the left it starts to scoop it?

600hz is the center frequency.
Turning to the right simultaneously raises frequencies above 600hz, and lowers the frequencies below 600hz.
CCW does the opposite.
Think of it like a teeter totter with 600hz being the center.

Is there any sort of resource for settings to try? I'm planning on digging into the pedal a lot the next couple days.
Everything at noon is a good place to start. If you want to tighten up the low end, turn the depth down. If you want more treble, turn the tone up. Gain and Boost control levels set to taste if you want more or less in each mode.

I spent quite a bit of time with the MBD 3 last night dialing in a nice low gain grind tone, this is what I came up with.
I really like that there's multiple ways to "thicken" the sound with the Tone knob and Depth knob, which is my gripe with a lot of OD pedals.
The Blend knob is also like nothing I've ever used, it's amazing. The amount of low end that's retained is unreal. I've read what the website description says but I would like to understand better what it's actually doing if anyone has any insight.
I've gone through probably every popular OD pedal and usually ended up disappointed in some way, but man this thing has blown me away.

That’s a lot of lows. I keep Depth at 9:00, Tone noon or above, Blend much lower than Volume.

It sounded good through headphones with that amount of lows from the tone knob. I don't get to play with my full rig at home much because of the little ones, but when I use it to gig this weekend I might end up moving that tone knob when I'm at gig volume. It could very well be too boomy at full volume.
Question for you, when you say "Blend much lower than volume" are you referring to it being set more counter clock-wise in relation to the volume knob? ex. if the volume is set to 11 o'clock like mine, you would usually keep your blend somewhere between 10:30 o'clock and 7ish o'clock?
Blend dial something like that, even turned completely off. The Volume is really the complete signal. Most drive pedals don’t have a clean blend and sound fine, to me anyway, although I use very low gain drive tones. So I add Blend as a sort of last adjustment, and most of the time find it’s not needed, at all. But always sounds interesting anyway, as do all the other controls.
