If I’m not mistaken that’s the bass Jeff plays, so it doesn’t surprise me at all that it sounds so awesomeL-2000 into the MBD-1 is one of my favorite things.

Hahahaha. True, very true.True but if I remember right he tore out all the guts.
It’s more like a L01 now.![]()
I got my bass-modded Parallel Drive finished last night, and it sounds amazing! I added a three-way switch on the dirt side to select either LEDs, none, or silicon diodes. I really love the Rat-style circuit, and the clean low-end side makes it all the more useable. Excellent job Jeff! I'm going to have to pick up a MBD-1 and/or Bloop when funds allow.
Nice and clean! Now, this toggle switch wizardry - I'd like to add that to my build, but I'm not 100% sure I got it right (noob alert, sorry):
That's an "on-off-on" toggle switch and you connect D3 on the PCB to the two middle lugs (for no clipping), the SI diodes are both soldered to the upper two lugs, making sure the face different directions. And the LEDs, I guess, are also both soldered to the lugs, making sure the +/- legs also "face each other" (one + leg and one - leg per lug)?
And doing the same thing on the boost side would be: going from D1 to the switch as above, (I'm thinkin about SI/none/GE) ?
Cheers!
p.s. how would different color LEDs (green, blue, ...) affect the sound? Can I mix colors?
Yep, you got everything correct. LEDs have different forward voltages depending on their color, so you will get slightly different clipping charactoristics depending on what color you use.
Has anyone Blooped a Wooly Mammoth?
(that sounds a lot weirder than it really is).
Just pre-ordered a Curmudgeon. Couldn't help myself.

Curmudgeon preorders?!?
EDIT: Just seen it... and apparently missed it at the same time![]()
There's still some left.
Thank you so much! It's great that you decided to do a run of Curmudgeon. I scrambled and was able to get in on the pre-order! Thanks for the heads up!
I did some clips with the Bloop showcasing how monstrous it makes a fuzz sound with before and after clips. Check it out if you’re interested, it’s such an awesome pedals guys!
