Please tell me you're joking about the "upgrade"Picked this up a couple of days ago. First thing I did was remove the binding tape that was peeling. Now I need some zippo fluid to clean off all the gunk. The bass was abandoned to a teenager's closet, the strings were rusted, and have left marks on the fretboard. Otherwise the bass is in awesome shape + for $100 who could complain?
It's a 90s reissue - SHORT SCALE
this is how it looked when I brought it homeView attachment 523235
This is the only upgrade planned (for now): Yes... those are googlyView attachment 523236
Sure, add me to the list!Oh congrats! Do you want a number?
it's only a joke until I can find the right sized googly eyes...Please tell me you're joking about the "upgrade"

Wow, you really ARE the scourge of God! Who doesn't like googly eyes? That physically pains me, unless you work on a kids show or do a lot of kids birthday parties or something
Nothing against TDZ or googly eyes, it's just that I saw the first pic and thought wow the longhorn looks so good yellow, what a great deal. Then I scrolled down and my heart sank. BTW I was 17 or so when I came up with that screen name, I've evolved a little since thenWow, you really ARE the scourge of God! Who doesn't like googly eyes?
Just got this for Christmas!
2014 (Made in June) Copperburst MIK Longhorn.
I really love it. I think the scale length is 29 3/4" and it's so easy to play. Doesn't lack any of the definition of my long scale basses either. It's super light, and I regularly play 2-3 hour gigs, so it's a welcome change from my 9-10lb basses I usually play.
Absolutely love the tone!!! The neck pickup is fantastic. I don't like the bridge pickup solo, but It adds a lot to the tone when mixed with the neck pickup.
I'm thinking about stringing it with flats. Any suggestions? Leaning towards Labella, but I'd love to hear what you guys have been using!
