maybe the pet peeve first : you can't turn it off? So have to unplug the cable? brrrr...
Today I had my first gig with the Darkglass Anagram. I used it standalone in combination with IEM via XLR direct to FOH.
It worked all fine, had a great sound and got compliments from my band members. It was a bit of challenge to finetune the output level of the unit to our mixing station and get a similar level as my analogue pedal board, but everything went fine.
I used one preset in stomp mode to switch my parallel path with distortion on/off, room reverb on/off and vintage overdrive on/off
My signal chain is inspired by:
Used a combination of two cabs and added a parallel low pass / high pass path (similar to my Tyler deluxe on my analogue board)
One improvement point - for which I am not sure if it is already possible - would be a possibility to lock a specific preset during a gig and to prevent switching to another preset. One way or another I managed - in stomp mode - to switch to another preset with a much lower volume. Took me one song to find out the cause.
Long story short: I am really happy with the Anagram. It is my first multifx (next to Zoom B3N I only use at home) and it easily can replace my analogue pedalboard with quite complex routing. It is small, powerful and very versatile.
Lol, was a bit in a rush to get everything settled for my gig. Now plenty of time to read the ins and outs of the manualThat's why I always read the manual fist![]()
At least for wah pretty sure you can just bind the cutoff frequency of the (envelope) filter to the expression pedal. For the missing effects:
Wah
Phaser
Tremolo
I’m assuming you can’t have NAM for those
Mine arrived.
basically it needs to replace the mini-board that i use (below the Anagram), I'm not asking too much beside that and that it takes less space and simplified the whole fiddling process
Sometime I switch the filter pedal by an octaver so the Anagram should give me that flexibility.
Hope I can get is ready soon so I can sell the pedal to finance it (cause this one hurt and was NOT a purchase I had planned in the household budget)

Actually, I‘d like to hear everyone‘s take on the Anagram‘s envelope filtering capabilities. Can it get juicy and quacky? Good for funky tunes?Looking forward to hearing how you get on with the envelope filter.
