I caved and also grabbed the midi foot switch. Just arrived. Of course, I got one with the pot shafts too short for the push encoders to work properly, 4 out of 6 of them. Can't seem to make a support request at the moment either, getting an error message when I do. Welcome to the future.
Just about updated to 1.5 will test all the I/O next.
Realistically hoping to to replace 3/4 of my board and add the fun stuff like cab sims.
Might end up exchanging the midi foot switch for another brand that has expression pedal inputs.

Try to pull up the knobs lightly. That should solve the problem.

Quick, simple question to @IvanBassist : in terms of sound and functionality, what is the difference in categorizing the amp blocks between PREAMPS (Harmonic Booster, Leo Bass, etc) vs AMPS (Peggy Bass, Kallinen Kruukkeri, etc)?

They are slide on knobs, so only one way to install. After depressing a few times they are sitting too low.
The pot shaft isn't long enough, so it bottoms out before the encoder gets engaged. Might be the inner/press on sleeve.
I pushed it to freeze up once by scrolling and loading cabs too quick in succession, and had to cycle the power.
Been scrolling through and testing/ listening to all the available plugs and I will say, everything in the pedal, so far, is quite usable and sounds great sonically.

I received my anagram this week and the push button function also is erratic.
I took a very small rubber band and cut a very small piece to go inside the knobs and now they work perfect.
Easy fix

I had one that bottomed out and DG sent me out 2 new knobs right away. Took a few extra days for customs but very quick and professional service. New knob works great.

The preamps are models of just the preamp section and the amps are models of the entire amp including the power amp.

It would also be inaccurate to categorize them otherwise as they are models of specific pieces of gear. E.g. the Noble Preamp is not an amp, and calling it anything otherwise would be inaccurate and confusing to the user.

@IvanBassist an Anagram feature request:
For all my iterations of hardware pedalboards in the past, and also now in each preset I make in the Anagram, I always place a HPF and Compressor before anything else in the chain. Also, with the Anagram, I find myself placing an EQ and Gain block at the end of every chain.

I would love to see DG implement a "Global Pre-Chain" and "Global Post-Chain" which are built exactly like a preset, adding whatever blocks you like with whatever settings you like, but the Pre-Chain is automatically added in as the first blocks in every preset you use, and the Post-Chain automatically added as the last blocks. This would allow settings in my Pre-Chain HPF, for example, to affect all my presets, maybe to eliminate extra boominess in a particular venue, for example. Or if I'm feeling the need to squash my signal a bit more than usual one night, adjust the compression in one place and have it affect all my presets. Maybe add a preamp block to it that adds some extra grittiness to all my presets when I play with a specific band.

I realize the EQ and Gain block at the end can, in my stated case, be handled with the global EQ and Mixer, but others may wish to add different blocks to the Post-Chain that don't have global equivalents. For me, the Pre-Chain would be most desirable.

Maybe even allowing a normal User Preset to be designated as "Global Pre-Chain" and another designated as "Global Post-Chain" in the preset settings would be a way to implement it, so those 2 designated presets can be managed right within the context of my other user presets. Or, I could even setup a few different presets and then, based on the venue or mood, change which preset is designated as the Global Pre-Chain/Post-Chain for that event. I do understand filling up a Pre-Chain, a preset, and a Post-Chain could overload the DSP. Maybe some sensible limitations are part of this.

Just a thought!
