Sad to hear David Bowie just died. While I was not a rabid fan I thought he had a very strong body of work over several decades. My favorite era was him bringing Stevie Ray Vaughn to the attention of the masses. Discuss.

I just looked up a list of his greatest hits and it's pretty amazing how many he had. I had forgotten several. They really were a soundtrack for a generation. Whether you are a fan or not his contribution to music is undeniable.

His son, Duncan Jones revealed his father had been fighting cancer.
Bowie, was an inovative artist, his songs provided many great bass parts for his players.....as well as his ranging styles.
No-one could accuse Bowie of regurgitation formats that sell albums.
He was an artist first and fore-most and it was about the art, not the money.
