David Nordschow Amplification

Hmm... not sure what this means. If you mean "Are you accusing me?" where the "'cuse" is short-hand for "accuse" then certainly not. If by "'cuse" you mean some cryptic short-hand for "excuse" then what I mean is the definition of "endorse" is frequently misunderstood or ignored.

When someone say "Joe Wannabe is endorsed by Craptastic Basses", or "How do I get Lamo Amps to endorse me" they're wrong. Craptastic does NOT endorse. Joe Wannabe does the endorsing.

Just trying to keep the nomenclature clear and precise.

John

I am ready to endorse Craptastic. Got their phone number?
Joe.

To those who have already written off the new company for supposed heinous infractions against punctuality and broken promises, I am frankly not surprised. Apparently old scars are itching to be picked at again.

And it's so predictable. While I feel for those who have been wronged by USM Corporation, it has become a forum tradition that a very tiny group of members rarely miss a chance to dump on all things Eden whenever the opportunity presents itself (especially one member in particular). The problem is that this small group has whined so much that the majority of us simply tune them out. It's now expected that they pop up in nearly every thread having to do with Eden. If they don't post we all wonder if their Internet connection is down. The shame of it is...after all of their hard work bashing Eden, folks still eagerly anticipate anything new by Mr. Nordschow. Maybe this little group of Eden haters needs to work harder at their craft. Apparently their message isn't getting out.

M. M. :)

I know David had the black & gold color scheme long before Markbass was a gleam in its mother's eye, but their website colors are now pretty similar! [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] :)

It doesn't mean anything, I just saw the SEAL page and thought "whoa, Markbass-ville!"

I hate to have to say it too. .. but the SEAL thing just doesnt go hand in hand with what he is doing in my opinion. if its some sort of inside joke thing. its way too inside i think.. i dont get it...
The cab looks interesting though from the visual aspect of the pots ect...... but not keen on the sound of that specter through it... i do realize it was just a vid cam mic....

PS . I really want to see this thread go in a positive direction.. I realize the need for hype. but in my opinion there is way too much lead time and no product yet... that leaves way too much time for what is going on in this thread so far. IMO

I heard rummor.. (RUMOR) two years ago that dave funk was doing something with dave N... It was only RUMOR though to make it clear... we all know where that can lead at times.. but they are trying to generate hype and the doors are open for this type of stuff. is dave and dave really doing something? I have no idea at this time...

While I'm willing to withhold judgment until real product is released; however, I do think it would have been better form and better for the interest of the company if they had announced the product lineup and opened the website when the complete product lineup was ready to go.

I doubt David would "go to market" without a full line of products. This SEAL peek is very limited in both information and product examples.
Besides I'd bet DNA will want a more professional/industry changing debut for their products rather than to do so in an informal "Youtube" video.

This tells me quite a lot about Davids' influence in the industry.:) We bassist are so ravenous for his products we're willling to criticise the speed at which he chooses to release them.

I've heard many of Davids other products and I'd bet on the newer DNA products outperforming those. His original company was once an industry standard and I doubt he's lost any of his talent for producing fantastic products.;)

God Bless, Ray

I really wish the push for DNA was on amplifiers and not speaker cabs

I am holding out hope that amplifiers will be coming soon, but I wouldn't want to bet on it.

+1 Quite happy with my fEarful cabs, but I have to say that thin light 112 is quite intriguing. I really hope he will do the simple preamp that Eden never would, but I think even a mention of his goals on amp building would be a fair start. There are quite a few cab builders out there that do the job quite well, but I think the amp market needs a kick in the balls. IMO of course. Glad to see him back regardless. Also glad to see that there is at least some progress as well.

I'm actually curious what you think the amp market needs?

Given the galaxy of sizes, options, weights, configs available, from what is likely an unprecedented number of manufacturers at a mass retail level ... what's missing?

Out of everything you've listed, you neglected to mention a "kick in the balls."

No wonder he's frustrated about the industry missing that.
