David Nordschow Amplification

Out of everything you've listed, you neglected to mention a "kick in the balls."

No wonder he's frustrated about the industry missing that.

Fair point. Thanks. That did make me laugh.

He indeed did specify exactly what he thinks the amp market needs. I should have simply asked why he thinks the amp market "needs" it.

Either way, I disagree but would like to see and hear it ... or maybe not.

:atoz:

and gave them every chance to make it good, which they never, EVER did, which is why we continued to gripe and *****.

Have you ever been shafted out of $2200.00 by an amp company? Ever been lied to for over a year, and then delivered a pile of **** amp that didn't work, and then they spent five more months lying to you about fixing it. A BUNCH of us were. Thank God the music store I bought it at was ethical and gave me my dough back.

Ask SVT about his dealings with them - in a fair and just society, they would be shut down completely for such practices.

And I'll continue to slander them because they deserve it. USM's pretty much dead in the water anyway.

And it's so predictable. While I feel for those who have been wronged by USM Corporation, it has become a forum tradition that a very tiny group of members rarely miss a chance to dump on all things Eden whenever the opportunity presents itself (especially one member in particular). The problem is that this small group has whined so much that the majority of us simply tune them out. It's now expected that they pop up in nearly every thread having to do with Eden. If they don't post we all wonder if their Internet connection is down. The shame of it is...after all of their hard work bashing Eden, folks still eagerly anticipate anything new by Mr. Nordschow. Maybe this little group of Eden haters needs to work harder at their craft. Apparently their message isn't getting out.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but heres a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] to a gallery of their cabinets. I'm assuming that there getting pretty close to releasing these things.:hyper:

Does anyone else think that the jacks on these were painted over with Photoshop or something? They look....not right.

As a result of which, he is permanently banned from TalkBass and not welcome back under any circumstances.

I'm sure the DNA stuff will be great though, the WT800 and 550 are fantastic amps.

I owned a WT-500 for more than 10 yrs and it could not be matched by anything else I ever encountered while gigging with it. If he takes it to a new level, I will be the first groupie. Indeed.

Looks like Speakons to me.
Munjibunga, I believe it might be worth about 3 more zeros than what you mentioned. Just a thought.
Ten Million.....Seriously?

Yea, it looks like Speakons, but actually LOOK at the input jack. It's all wobbly and jaggedy looking. Looks like he just took the brush tool and outlined the jack.

Now on the topic of the cabinet design I think they look nice. Logo is alright, could be a little better. I don't know what's up with the knob thing that says +2, Normal, -2. I think that he should've put it in the back. IMHO of course.

Anyway I look forward to these cabinets, I'm sure Dave won't disappoint.

About a month ago I got to check out Dave's new cabs.

A 115, 2 different 112 models and a 410 cab.

Here's a brief summary of my experience.

The amp that was used with each cab was a Thunderfunk 750

I'm not really into 15's but I thought this cab sounded pretty well rounded and clear, I thought it was very nice while the level of volume seem to be able to get loud and still maintain a well rounded clean output.

There were two different 112 cabs. One cab was smaller than the other.

The bigger one had punch for days and had a midrange presence that sounded even and not overly barky at all. It was loud but not screechy loud given that the midrange had a well voiced bump.

The sound of the smaller 112 was very close in comparison to the bigger 112 but not with the same midrange presence.

The 410 sounded big but not forceful big. A very even sound overall, And clean.

I thought the cabs sounded awesome and not compressed sounding at all.

And I used my sub contra bass and Dave was very pleased with what he heard coming from his cabs.
