Glued the neck.

Made the scarf joint for the headstock and glued it, also glued on the headstock veneer.

Leveled the neck with my special setup.

And routed the truss rod groove with the same setup, done this immediately after I leveled the neck because than the groove will have the proper depth along the complete length.

And today's result.

That is brilliant. Where did you source those rails?

At work.

We use Invalid Link Removed, but in principle they are standard aluminum building profiles, there are quiet a few other manufacturers besides MK who can deliver these kind of profiles.

In more detail.

I also leveled the backside of the neck and thus machined the heel of the neck to the (almost) right thickness.

Glued the fretboard and cut the fret slots.

You work way too fast. I would commission you, but postage to Australia isn't cheap

Drilled the holes for the tuners.

And after drilling these holes sawed of the last two bands of the now redundant wood.

Made two truss rod covers, one in black and one in silver, later on I will chose which one I'm going to use.

Made the clearance for the strings at the end of the fingerboard.

Finished shaping the headstock and leveled the top up to grain 220.

Also leveled the fingerboard and sides of the neck.

Tomorrow I'm going to place the side position dots and after that the frets can be hammered in, but before I'm going to do the frets I want to make the neck pocket in the body.

Drilled the holes for the position dots with the help of a drilling template (blablas is lazy..... and a smart engineer).

Sawed of the last big chunk of wood, now comes the real fun part: Shaping the volute, the neck profile and the heel.
