That is SSSSSSSSSSSWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!

Is that @Templar 's old bass?

This is @Rick Cole 's B2. And what a fantastic guy he is!

Anyway, you noticed the tip. There is some other cosmetic damage too but frankly who cares because this thing is ridiculously gorgeous. My wife did not know I had made this purchase. When it came today and I opened it up she freaked out about how beautiful it was.. indicating she wanted to hang it on the wall in the living room, lol.

In other words, I'm winning on the wife front today. This is my first instrument after a 12 year hiatus. I'm waiting for my Schroeder Mini 12 cabinet and then I'll be able to play it.

It's always a big plus when the wife likes something she didn't know you bought!!!!:smug:

Would someone that still owns of these (the Korean version) be willing to send some pictures of the control cavity? I have two leads that came off of their solder joints and I just need verification of which leads go where. TIA.
I did a while ago in a post where you wanted to know control post diameters for getting different control knobs.

does this help?

Indeed! I already forgot about that. Thanks. I think I have it right based on your photo, even though of course your wire colors are much different.

And now that I have the bass in my hands, I can measure the control knob shaft diameters myself.

Between me and @Jv-d we should be able to help. Just be careful as everything is really crammed in there.

I hate the cavity. I almost want to just put in a new preamp to get rid of the rat’s nest PCB arrangement.

The problem is I have not come across a whole setup that integrates piezo with two mag pickups.
Yes, they really crammed a lot in their. A separate battery compartment for the second battery would help.

The B2 and my Ibanez Portamento are the only two basses I own that integrate a piezo with two mag pups and also allows the piezo by itself in only passive.

‘Ripping everything out’ would be a bit much as having the three options available is really special. Lots of tonal options.

I’m talking about replacing the factory preamp assembly, not gutting the thing. Everything is in a molded enclosure and much much cleaner in my opinion, than the existing PCB that's just floating around in there with wires everywhere. I understand there will still be a wiring harness in the mix.
Ah, misunderstood. Sounds like something I might be interested in as well.
