Got a message from @B-Mac. I posted these pics a few days ago on the main board. Again I don’t own this one but a good friend of mine got it from the Dean USA Custom Shop and I think it’s a great bass. Feels great to play and it’s definitely an attention grabber. Hanger frame was made by G-Frames. Enjoy!

I'd get on their forum and find out. I signed up a while ago but haven't been active in the Dean forum to ask the same question.Howdy! I own a Dean Rhapsody 12 string and a Dean EABC5. Gotta say that my 12ver really rattles the room and turns heads! The good folks at S.I.T. Strings made me my own custom gauge set (super light) and it is a pleasure to play. I don't use a pick so a light gauge is essential. Looking forward to meeting other Dean players.
Also, I live about an hour or so away from Dean's headquarters in Tampa Bay,FL...I've signed up with DOA,but I never receive any newsletters or event announcements. Anybody know if the DOA is still active?
Looks like its the Edge 1Q TGE from the 2012 catalog. Nice detective work..Mahalo!!According to the 2007-2008 Dean Catalog yours is the Dean Edge1Q.

That is one handsome bass! This orange USA Motto above looks totally cool.
A few years ago I delved into the crazy world of Dean basses and picked up some really nice, interesting items built in Czech Republic. More recently on a whim, I snagged a custom USA Hillsboro from our TB classifieds. Its "different-ness" attracted me to it, and also the uncommon pickup arrangement with the MM 'bucker up front and the s/c (might actually be a dual coil, not hearing any buzz) in back. Active only. I'm assuming the 3-band is Basslines, but haven't looked under the hood to confirm. The bass sounds huge, whatever is driving the Basslines pups.

Excellent, love the silvery thing going on with the blackburst-----oh, btw---Moody Blues is one of my favorite all-time groups. I still frequently listen to my M.B. collection of albums. I'll...uh...er...pass the collection down to My Children's Children's Children. Thanks!
I'm going to change a couple little things to shed a few ounces.
And maybe get rid of a dead spot in the process, or at least move the dead spot to a less inconvenient location on the neck. Should be perfect then.![]()

On the Threshold of a dream indeed!!
Almost a month now...did you jump on the GHS strings? I am guessing these are louder but not as squeaky?Yes, I did. It was great. My guess for the next time I'll use it in church is April 29th (because usually if there's 5 Sundays in a month, the 5th Sunday is an acoustic set). In the meantime, I'm hoping to get some GHS Pressurewound Bronze on them, and try that out.

Cool website by the way. I'll have to check out your music sometime.Howdy! I own a Dean Rhapsody 12 string and a Dean EABC5. Gotta say that my 12ver really rattles the room and turns heads! I'm asking as I have half rounds on my fretted exotica quilt ash and have flats in an unopened package that I am thinking about putting on, but I know without plugging in they probably won't be all that loud, so I am hesitant to use them. The Phosphor-Bronze strings that were originally on this were quite loud when unplugged, but a lot of string squeak, which I realize if I had better technique they wouldn't squeak as much, but.......
