Hey @B-Mac , do you have any Czech Deans? Does anyone in Dean Club?

Yes I do, last count was 3.

Yes there are a few other members that do. @NicJimBass is one of them. and @Ronen and @Tonecraft and @Templar and @BradWorld and @DiscoFace

Use the search feature and search just this thread for Czech also search for Jeff Berlin in this thread and Euro and/or Select and/or improv.

My 3- two Improvs, one Select. I've messed around with different pickup and preamp configurations, and think I have them mostly settled-
Yellow Improv- EMG40CSX (bridge) and 40P5X (neck) with EMG BQC preamp, and passive tone. Toggle switch is pickup selector.
Orange-burst Improv- EMG40DC (bridge) and 40CS (neck), Bartolini NTMB preamp. Toggle is selector.
Yellow Select- EMG40DC (bridge) and 40CS (neck), SNC pre (Spector HAZ clone). Swapped the tuners for Gotoh GB707's I originally bought for another bass.

I'm thinking someone should start a Made in Czech Republic Club!

Here's a pick of my Dean Edge 4 fretless 5 string
View attachment 3592003
It's a 2011 and strung E,A,D,G,C rather than B,E,A,D,G and 2 band active EQ

Now how about posting a pic or two? We love pix here at Dean Club!!! :)
There's a TB saying...pix or it didn't happen

I will post pics when i can, having major issues with computer! Btw, im on my 5th coat of Tru Oil on the fretboard and its looking really darker and deeper...i rolled the fretboard edges and the rosewood board is a great piece (i think its rosewood) with tight straight grain...now i have to figure out strings as i think these may be the stock round strings...i dont want to lose any 'mwa' in the tone but flats would be nice though apparently i would lose some 'mwa'.

On the Tru Oil, i started with a very thin cot after sanding lightly, then each coat is still thin....cannot hurry this process...at least 24 hours between coats....i will do at least 10 thin coats then scuff/polish with 2000 grit.

B-Mac, could you post pictures of your Dean Stylist. I'm wanting a semi hollow bass and I see a few for sale. Anything you have to say about this bass would be appreciated.
Sure

Got this 2017 MIK 12string Rhapsody a few weeks ago on ebay for a great price from the bass player of the Cheap Trick cover band known as ‘Cheap Trickster’.
It’s something else to play. Much different than my 8 string Rhapsody.

Cool bass, I would like to try one some day. Must feel really weird under your fingers.
Definitely different. Two course octave isn’t that bad, but three course octave is pretty tough with the lil ol pinky! :smug:
Gotta get that pinky into weight training!
Need some advice from @2many

I said about a year ago that I was going to buy a Dean Edge 3, but then I got caught up buying a couple rigs and some G&L and Cort basses and never got around to it. Well I spotted the same silverburst I had tried before and gave it another whirl.

Yep, it still sounded great. I then tried a new Sterling Ray34 and a couple other basses and you can guess which one came home with me.

I'll give a review on it later after I have played with it a bit, but as of right now I can say the electronics are very hot, very punchy and very articulate. The volume just might be about the same as my G&L M2000's, but I'll check for sure later. Also the finish is really nice, pictures don't really do it justice. Pretty happy so far.
