I finally had a few minutes to check out the new juggernaut side by side with the mim fender jazz. The dean won in every categories. Pick ups had more range. Bridge is beefy. Neck and fretboard felt nicer. Hands down better looking (except the oddly placed mustache wings). If you are on the fence about buying one, jump on it!!!

22 frets too. :-)

I haven't been a member of this club before, but I've been a member on TB and a Dean owner for many years. I think my DOA number is like 02-00133, or something. I wish I had grabbed the Razor NT and Psycho Cabbie basses before they went OOP.

Still, I love the ones I have. :)

Switched,

Welcome to Dean Club!!!

You have been officially issued Member Number 205

I really don't need another bass but I always say that , Anyway I'm eyeballing this used Dean Edge Pro and was wondering if these are very heavy back breaking bass (weight wise) < Your thoughts on overall quality , etc . Never had a set neck bass or guitar before Just curious , Thanks View attachment 3587839
Neck thru (not set neck)
Brass nut
Active 3 band eq preamp
Flame Maple top (not photo finish)
Basswood body
Rosewood FB
14" radius FB
I own 2 of them when they still had the Badass II bridge
The newer bridge is individual for each string as pictured at the bottom.
I can’t recall the weight but they’re the top of the Edge Series bass.
They come with passive Dean pups.

My two Edge Pro basses both with Badass II bridge

Tiger Eye

After 2006-2007 they came with the monolithic quick change bridge and horizontal script logo rather than vertical which looks like this.
The top one below appears to be the one you're contemplating buying.

I'll try to remember to weigh mine when I get home. I'm guessing around 9 lbs.

Sorry to have you wait for the weight. :-)

According to my Health-o-Meter non-digital bath scale this bass weighs in at just slightly over 8lbs.
