Dean Zelinsky Mule Bass

I spoke with Dean a couple days ago at his new shop in Illinois. He'll have a 4 and 5 string model, both with the Z-Glide neck. The body has a unique contour that serves as a thumb rest above the strings. Pretty cool. He showed me some photos of the 4 and 5 string models, but didn't have any in stock yet. But they are coming soon. There is a photo of the 5 string on the home page of his website. I'll post photos when I see them in person.

First off the thumb rail is just one of the smartest designs I've ever seen. I wish I had that on every bass I own. The neck treatment looks interesting as well though I'm sure some people will go "oh no" I'm sure even if it felt weird at first it wouldn't take long before you didn't even notice it. Great price if the hardware checks out ok I think he'll have a hit on his hands. Gotta go I'll check this out later!
