i find that attitude distasteful and it shows a lack of regard for your audience, to be honest. when the lowest common denominator is your yardstick, you will attract the lowest common denominator to your shows.Right here!
And I agree completely. You've gotta let the front of house guy do his job. The gear you bring to a club is so you can enjoy your sound on stage, which certainly affects your performance. Trust that the soundguy knows what he's doing (even though most of the time he doesn't) get a good sound on stage, and realize that 99.9% of the people in the crowd wouldn't know a good bass tone if it came up and punched them in the balls. They just want to feel the low end, and get drunk.
