Karnivool's 'We Are' uses obvious delay on the bass at the beginning and then less obvious as the tune rolls on. Cool song with a bit of a slow burn

Its well documented that its a Binson Echorech.

The Young Widows song "Cool Night" uses delay pretty prominently on bass.

I use delay in intros a lot of the time. Here is one where I use delay to do the oscillating sweep around 4 min and 20 seconds in.

This was actually one of the first songs that came to mind next to Tool when I heard "delay on bass". Great song. Ive been jammin Because of the Times and Aha Shake Heartbreak lately. Best two albums they had. The first one was great too. Really raw. But those other two I mentioned, what great songs! Really catchy bass stuff too, fun as hell to play. The one they hit HUGE with was good too, just got tired of hearing most of it

A long delay can also be used on solos to fatten things up a bit, as long as you can match the tempo of the song - I added delay to this track on the bass solo around 2:15

When I use Markbass Super Synth - I put delay and distortion on it.

I use delay mostly for two hand tapping. Just makes it seem like I'm playing a lot more that i actually am.

Also like using delay for texture/ambience or whatever you want to call it.

I also at some point always end up playing disposition by tool. Its one of my favorite basslines.
