Demeter VTBP M 800D @ NAMM

I really look forward to read the review! Please crank it up with a 5-string; I want to know how well it's lightweight power section does under stress.

I'm so fond of my HBP-1, if the powered version proves gigging volume worthy, I plan on leaving my current one in the rack with my CA9, and buy the powered version to use with my 2 Aguilar GS112's for small to medium rooms.

Thanks for all you do, Tom!

-And Chef, I notice you changed your profile pic, looks cold! Where was it taken?

Thank you much! We appreciate all the support that y'all give us here on TalkBass.

I should point out that James will install his 800-watt output section in customers' existing preamps. So, you could just send in your HBP-1 for the "conversion" and save some cash.

I love the form factor. I've been wishing my GK MB800 would be a little less aggressive up top and overall smoother sounding. This might be just the ticket.

I've been dying to get a Demeter preamp for years, but have never pulled the trigger, so I might just be trying to justify a purchase... But isn't that the point of TB?

$1399?
Holy Cats; they'll sell a few of those!!!!!

No S*&T! For those who can't swing a Monique/Demeter Power amp this is a REALLY NICE option. Pre and power in the same package for the price of the Monique pre.

If I played out more I'd be tempted. My gig these days is in church (DI/IEM) so this would sit in my basement.

I just had Demeter upgrade my rackmount Monique with his 800W power section over the holidays. Only took 2 days (!) to upgrade it and ship back to me. Incredible customer service at Demeter.

Holler next time you're through!

I'd love to sometime, appreciate it! I'm in the process of transferring to Indianapolis, -which will take some time.

Figured I needed to be closer to Tom's house and those cigar sampling, Scotch sipping, drool at all his amps/cabs/basses GTG's! :D

As far as understand, the power module can't be bypassed, so I wouldn't be able to use my HBP-1 with my CA9 if I did the upgrade.

Therefore I have no other choice than to buy more of Jim's incredible products! :D

Why can't this be out and in people's hands already!? Ideally in the hands of someone with a 201 to do a direct comparison. I'm super impatient.

I am sending my 201 to have it checked over and a tuner out installed, if Tom will cover the cost of the upgrade I will let him keep it for a month to run it through the paces. :p

While I appreciate the offer, I already have a 201 (and a 201s, and an HBP-1). :D

Thank you very much for the offer, though.

Hello Demeter fans. We will be adding the VTBP-M-800. On our web page next week.We finished building the Prto-type the night before load in at NAMM, so we did not have time to get every thing together on our site. I am very grateful for the positive response this product has received. Thanks James Demeter

Awesome!!!!! I can see ordering one of these in another couple of months. Just need to save a little dough.
