Did anyone tried the EA micro 300?

As far as I know the only folks who have tried the amp that also visit TB are Mike Dimin and Tom Bowlus.

Vic and Iotanet also heard it, as did Roger Sadowsky.
I'm just aching to get my mits on one of these (and two Wizzy 10's!).

I would have loved to have heard it louder, but it sounded great. I hope to have a chance to hear it more at my upcoming GTG.

That was my take as well. NAMM is not really the place to audition amps and cabs seriously, and the EA location seemed especially hectic and noisy. Mike Dimin sure made it sound good though...

I suspect that this would be a very good combination, IME/IMHO.
But I am now obligued to provide the following disclaimer:
I have not tried the Micro 300 with the Glockenklang Space Deluxe, I have not gigged with a Micro 300, I have not done an A/B/C with the Micro 300 and any number of other heads with the Space Deluxe, I have not heard the Micro 300 with anything other than the Wizzy 10's, and even that was only at NAMM (which is a less than ideal setting), and only at fairly low volumes.
That should cover it.
But, I will say that I am very familiar with the iAMP 200, and the output section in the Micro 300 is a new iteration of the 200's style of output section. So, in theory, with the EQ set flat, they should be in the same ballpark. The iAMP 200 sounds great with the Glockenklang Space Deluxe, and even though the Glock can take some serious pounding from a high volume amp, it also responds very well to lower powered heads (IME/IMHO, YMMV).
So, please take my comments with huge grains of salt, and consider that I have not gigged with this combination and consider that the use of all adjectives is evil, corrupt and misleading, and take it for what it's worth, but I honestly do think that would be a good combination.

As you know there is the CUP here which limits what I can say about the Micro 300.
I would agree with Tom that the 300 has a similar tone to the 200 for the reasons that he has mentioned. It has a very musical quality. The EQ of the 300 is more subtle then either the 500 or 800. The EQ is 3 band rather than 4, has a +/- 12 db adjustment as opposed to 15db and finally has fixed EQ points (don't ask - it took a year of R&D to get it where we wanted it, and we're not giving it up easily - sort of like that baked bean recipe).

Does anyone know when the iAmp300 and Wizzy10 (backpack) will be shipping? This looks like a gotta have.
Sorry, my bad... yeah, the backpack was mentioned in what you were responding to. Sorry. however...actually i meant the backpack thingie... you should learn to read minds better
