Did greenboy just kill the Fearful ?

Did you try this? 1/2 inch ply is 12.7mm thick. Metric ply is 12mm thick. If one does as you suggest the parts won't fit together properly. Try it. Post pictures. Good luck.

Most of our "1/2-inch" plywood isn't 1/2", but rather 15/32", or 11.9 mm. If you're building from scratch, it seems overly optimistic to cut every single piece to precise pre-defined sizes rather than planning on doing some final fitting or trimming. IME, anyway.

Woodwork is not my forte, accurate cutting especially, but I can assemble a kit. Maximum respect to those of you able to wrangle a build in this way. I'd end up with a mess of gaps and holes.

Just got tired of arguing with people over builds and design.
Has other things to do: biking, hiking and photography in The Rockies.

Skiing too. He was in very good spirits the last time I talked to him, a bit before Thanksgiving I think.

There's a place near me that does it and charges so much per cut. I'd just order a kit but a £20 bit of plywood becomes £160 and then another £200 to ship it to the UK. I'm sure the local guys can do it for much less. I'm in a small town next to a medium sized town next to Glasgow, which is Scotland's biggest city. There seem to be at least three places that do the laser cutting in the medium sized town near me. Paisley if that interests anyone. I'm sure there are at least a dozen in and around Glasgow. I don't need everything cut. I won't be using grill stand-offs for example and the bracing isn't that critical. As long as the sides, top and bottom, back, baffle and port shelf are accurate, it should form a nicely square and sealed box. If I ever get around to it, I'll post a build thread. I've got the bass and mid drivers and the components for a CBG crossover. I've started fitting a kitchen so the fearful is on the back burner.

I especially appreciate @jkzfixme 's files with the crossover diagrams. I discovered the T3W crossover after buying the CBG so I'll start with the CBG and upgrade it later to the T3W. I hadn't kept copies of the CBG diagrams (Doh!) and I hadn't downloaded the other cab plans.

I think it is real shame that Greenboy has taken all this stuff down, whatever the reason(s) The website is still there promoting (I use that word loosely) his fearless designs so it isn't as if he is saving money, probably. Still, it is his bat and his ball and he can take them home if he wants. At least there is still a community willing to help those who are interested in building one of these designs.

I'm really devastated, being at the beginning of my build and spending quite some money at this point for the parts. I have the plans and I think i can get hands on the fearful pages via internet archive but the incredible valuable forum is not recoverable.
A small warning a few days in advance would have been so helpful to save some of the important threads (beginner's questions etc.). I tried to reach out to dave if there's still a dump around but nothing yet. Does anybody has some dumps of the forum by chance?

Should still be able to get fEARful & fEARless from an authorized builder. Other Barefaced, Audiokinesis & Baer come to mind.

Nothing has really changed in Greenboy land other than the closing of the forum, which Dave closed due to inactivity and donations not covering the costs.
The fEARful plans are all on Speaker hardware’s site as well as kits and parts. The Fearless, Dually and Bassic cabs are still being built by the authorized builders (like me) as they always have been.

I think he is referring to a time before his Forum was started, right after his mod of the Carvin LS1503 cab thread. Shortly after that, he came out with the first fEARful design, iirc, which was free ( and looked alot like the Carvin ). It took off and people were either diy'ing it themselves or having cab builders like Low Down Sound, build them. The whole drama-debacle on here insued, with Dave becoming more upset with TB and user/builders not strictly following his designs, or giving him enough pub/credit for them. Also, in my opinion, he realized that it could be a money making venture, and sort of left TB in a huff, starting his own Forum on his designs, and creating the fearLESS designs, which, as you said, were not free plans and could only be built to his specific designs and by authorized builders only. As far as I know, he is still a member here.
