Digital preamp

Ebay. look through the completed auction listings. There's a guy there been trying to sell one for a while now. I'll bet if you message him you can work something out.

ADA-M1 is an analog pre-amp with digital/Midi control.

If you want true digital it is cheap these days.
Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod IOS stuff is seriously everywhere.
An iPod an interface, and one of the many modeler and you've got a seriously portable digital pre. Carry it everywhere and have it handy for inspired moments.

If you're talking about the guy that has been listing his for $500, I already upset him through CL by offering $275! I saw he just relisted on eBay for $530.
It's only worth what it sells for.
Naive or newbie sellers get all butt-hurt if somebody offers less than the princely sum the seller thinks he so richly deserves.

A suitable quote

If you have patience and diligence, you can find what you want without losing your shirt.
My starting rule of thumb is, pay no more than 66% of new-discount price for main stream items.
This does not apply to collector's items, or out-of-production gear.

eBay really has their way with sellers.
I got banged an Insertion Fee for the ad, then a commission when the item sold.
My mopar-trading buddy says eBay is now asking a percentage of your shipping fees as well.
IMO, eBay is the place of last resort, and certainly not the best for sellers.

I used a Rocktron Blue Thunder for a couple of years. That thing was great IMO. It was ahead of it's time. I am a dummy for selling it but You could use a Zoom B3 too.

This thread prodded me into remembering I have an old MB-1 ( not for sale, sorry) so I dug it out and plugged it in. When I retired this thing I thought it was terrible but now both the tube and solid state preamps sound pretty good to me. Perhaps they're unremarkable but certainly not offensive in any way.

Thanks for reminding me about this thing, I'm going to reacquaint myself!
