Just got my Darkglass Alpha Omega ultra.
Wow is this thing cool! I don't really play with distortion, but I wanted one for my little doodles I play- took a while to figure it out, it was distorting bypassed, and it appears it's because my bass was at full volume and so was the master on the unit, so it was simply just clipping the amp.
Got it new for a good deal, couldn't pass it up.

Thank you very much! I never thought I would get my hands on the green swirl finish, but Ish Guitars got one in B-Stock on Reverb about a month back. I saw it literally minutes after it was posted and immediately pulled the trigger. Couldn't be happier with it, honestly.

Yeah, they got a BUNCH of B-Stock Dingy's in all at once one day, I'm actually pretty sure I saw the one you got the same day I ordered mine.
I have money set aside right now for a Combustion 5, I'm just waiting for the right one to pop up on Reverb so I can snatch it. I'm also debating selling my Fender to fund a D-Roc Standard. That Aquamarine finish is calling my name somethin' fierce.
If you ever think about letting one of those go, let me know I do want a NG especially in blue or a swirl finish... or purple, love purple.

Cool, good for them.
However two square pickups look ugly (though it does on a dingwall too to be honest), and I would never trust a neck-through.

To each his own. I've owned several NT/set neck basses, and I've never had any issues.
I also generally prefer NT builds for the sound.
Not quite sure I grasp the fear of neck-thru either. I've had quite a few -- still have one, in my Pedulla. Never an issue.
I almost bought a rick which had a warped neck.
Expensive bass (at the time) and the problem was not so obvious if you never encountered it.
In the end the whole bass went in the trash.
I was very lucky to not be the one who bought it.
So yeah, no NT for me, never.

YEUP, that's the exact finish I'm talkin' about! Figure I gotta have at least one bass to jam out to hair-metal tunes on when I'm feelin' frisky. It would also probably suit my side-project very well.
