Maybe that depends on body wood/weight.

My ABZ naturally hangs headstock-high from the rear button.

My former ABZ also used to hang at 45 degrees and it didn't have the rear button

I bought a Dunlop "flush mount" strap retainer and had my luthier insert it on the back of my 2005 ABII in the standard Dingwall position. It's what Dingwall uses. It brings the neck in closer and also tilts it up a tad.

Dingwall will sell you new (rounded) pickup shells. I had them sent to Mo (Nordstrand Audio) and he installed Nordstrand pickups in those shells.

Interesting! I like the feeling on the thumb with the rounded shell....wonder if could install just over one rectangle shaped pickup so its nicer that way on the thumb!?

Dingwall pickups are epoxied into their shells. So no go on that idea. Plus you can't fit a round shell into the square hole cutout on the body.

What a great finish. I liked it before but like it even more without the guard.

Im getting a P4 similar to the one below I rewired the J pickup back ti my SJ. I noticed that I prefer the body shape of P basses better and i went really fancy with the specs haha

Yeah, He seems motivated to sell. I talked to him a bit several months ago. I was even considering it when it was about $300 higher, but the duties and taxes kept me from pulling the trigger back then. I've bought and traded for 3 Canadian made since those conversations took place though, so I think I'm done for awhile. At least I think so....

Yup, I've been eyeballing that one for a while. It's come down about $500 in that time. Has a Ptone in the neck position.
