Another “possible” factor is that ABZ most likely was ordered 18(?) months ago on the previous price list and they are offering it up as such. Meanwhile the combustion’s come out of the factorY at a faster rate and could “possibly” be priced off of a more current price list.....

Possibly. ;)

It’s less than the 2018 list price for a 3X so it’s either used or a screw up.

I just tried to buy a Dingwall t-shirt from their website. First I was unable to create an account. The link just spins and spins. I managed to get through as a guest, then they hit me with about three dollars in various taxes, but what killed the deal is they then slap a flat shipping rate of $25 on a $25 dollar t-shirt. I am honestly speechless at this approach to merchandising. I know they were in talks with Integriteez Screen Works, but they seemed to have blown that off. Sad really.

@Sheldon D. Please call Integriteez. ;) :thumbsup:

Might be easier to just download a logo and have these people make you one in whatever style you like: Custom T-Shirts and T-Shirt Printing | Spreadshirt

Thanks John, but what about copyright infringement?
I hadn't thought about that. I suppose you could just send Dingwall whatever royalty they think is fair. I would think they'd be happy to have someone out there cheerleading for them. But yeah, the company might not even be willing to make it if it is a copyrighted logo. Oh well, thought I was onto something there.

Has anyone ever just used a neck and middle pickup positions on a Combustion/NG and maybe put an empty shell in the bridge position? Or just been able to hear the middle pickup solo'd? The bridge pickup on its own isn't really my thing and I was wondering if the middle position might be more tonally useful to me.

I’d suggest trying it wired series first and see if that makes a difference.

I have done that with my NG-2, I also have some simple soundfiles of that experiment. Middle and neck together though, Imo, is not a good sounding or good working setting. I liked every other combination better.

I have tried it both in series and parallel.

For that experiment I just moved both pickups toward the neck one slot.

I always solo the neck pickup (wired in series) on my NG-2, which would be the middle on a three-pickup model. It sounds like a big precision bass with an attitude. :cool:
