Payson used to have bridges, but I see they are not listed anymore. Probably sold out. They are using mono bridges on their own basses now.
Babicz has monobridges:

We will have mono style bridge available soon with way softer edges. The Babicz are cool, but expensive. We feel they are worth the cost on our USA Basses.

I honestly have no problem with the current Combustion bridge but that wouldn't stop me from retrofitting another aftermarket to try it out if it were a direct fit.

Eh, I can fix it with about 60 minutes of disassembly, file, and re-assembly.

In my Spector days I knew a few guys in the club who polished and rounded all edges on their brass nuts with a dremel tool and the right tip.

I honestly have no problem with the current Combustion bridge...

When I had an NG3 a year ago the bridge really bugged me with the sharp edges. The new Combustion I have now doesn't seem to bother me nearly as much. IMHO YMMV

The bridge on my NG3 doesn't bug me at all. That's never stopped me from fussing with stuff anyway. My Combustion has the older single saddle "ABM style" bridge on it. That's pretty well set in stone now, given how much modification and customization has gone into turning those bridge pieces into fully functional piezo saddles for the bass.

The manual suggests they're 50K linear.

I would be very surprised if they were linear. You'll want an audio tapered pot for volume, as it isn't feeding a magic preamp control value, it's just directly in the signal path.

Ah, you're right. The diagrams show 50K linear for the tone controls, not the volume, which is un-marked.

I wonder what ohm for volume or blend would work with a combustion?
Glad this was posted as I almost asked myself! I'm try to convert a v1 to the more modern ones but a blend might be a cooler feature.

Since we're talking about bridges...

I'm fairly certain this was discussed before, but I have no idea how long ago, so it'd be fairly hard to look for, but, are the screws that the strings sit on specific to that application, or are they some "standard" size screw? I'd REALLY like to have an all-blacked out bridge, and those screw saddles stick out like a lighthouse beacon.

Pretty much the same story. There are a few pics of Combustion insides on the web, but not a single one with readable text on the pots.
Maybe @Jeff Roller could help us out? NG2 to NG3 conversion thread had some pics of insides.

I’m not really sure, but i believe babicz has a replacement bridge for combustions/NGs.
Bass Direct has them on their website

I reached out to Babicz directly and they weren't able to confirm or deny that their bridges are a direct drop in replacement, so likely would need a little woodwork (eh).

Curious to see what Payson come out with though.
