It might have been posted in the Dingwall forum, I can't remember. A lot of the photo links from that long ago have disappeared. It was a light-brown/yellow-ish top in a lightly figured burl-type wood.
Certain it wasn't just a matching pickguard or something? I can't recall any that were totally sans PG - with how they're (normally) routed, it just wouldn't work.
This one looks a lot like your description, any chance it’s a miss recalled J?
It could be! That is definitely the top I was imagining. I think it was an official photo from the Dingwall photo booth.

But that isn't a P. It's a PJ. Not sure that counts. They made plenty of those without pickguards. (Taking advantage of the situation to post this again...)

There was a little while when they were experimenting with the headstocks shapes and bits. I remember some of the first ones not having the scoop out (maybe prototypes). Some were coloured and the one above with the wood and I think there may have been one or two with a plastic piece screwed on. (Of course, my memory may be totally wrong!)
My memory is a few custom Super J’s, rear routed for controls, no pickguards, and sometimes with the P pup.
Mostly four strings, as the P pup for the five string Super J was a long while coming.
I think the Super P body is too thin front to back for that kind of thing.

Yes, I ordered my early batch SJ5 with the request that it be routed for the P-pickup under the pickguard even though they hadn't yet developed a 5-string version.
The thin bodies came a little bit later I think. The initial J's were chambered. I am not sure about the P's.

I really, really, really want one of the handful of Z's with the voodoo / switchblade system. I think I've said that here before. But the talk of one-offs or unusual Dingwalls always brings those to mind. I think there were like 3 made. I'll never see one.
The Combustion may be a introductory product in the Dingwall Family but it is definitely NOT an introductory instrument.

@Smallmouth_Bass Yes, I do remember Sheldon posting a few different styles. He got lots of feedback on that as I recall. I actually preferred the current style but owning this one I love the match and knowing it is a bit rarer as it were.
