Hi there... My Combustion is needed help. No sound is coming out I'm passive or active mode. I already replaced batteries, cables, amps, - no effect. Checked for loose connections at jack and all potentiometers. I checked switch, all potentiometers - they all seems to be working. Looking for any other advice. Please HELP
Where are you located?
Did you test a different instrument with the same cable and amplifier and it is working fine?
What has happened to the instrument since the last time you played it successfully? Has it done any traveling or been dropped or any other non-standard activity?
If you feel comfortable doing so, take off the back cover, and make sure the wires to the output jack are attached.
I received a brand new droc that did the same thing . It was the jack on mine. Dingwall shipped me a new one. Should have it this coming week.

Already did... But everything is solid, no corosion or broken wires. I tripple checked wiring on jack and tried several different cables
I didn`t travel, bass was at home all time. After one week not using an instrument this issue popped out

do you have a buzz or a hiss or anything? Just dead silence?
I just had to take the jack out of mine because it was wobbling, fixed by tightening and adding a drop of thead-lock.
When I had the jack out I, did note that the actual contacts are incredibly close to each other and it would only take a very small amount of miss-alignment to create a short circuit and perhaps a dead bass.
Might be worth looking at, just a thought?
I posted a while back asking for advice since I failed to get my Afterburner sounding agressive. I now consider the problem solved 
I have the treble on the eq cranked almost all the way and just a slight boost in the bass which prdouces a rather harsh sound, if needed to sound more mellow I play closer to the neck with soft attack and if needed to sound more aggressive I play closer to the bridge with a harder attack.
Furthermore the bass is now stringed with payson nickel steel strings and I am very happy with those.
In the end I do believe that the problem was mainly in my head rather than in eq settings and strings though
Uploading the latest version of the song I previously uploaded, the only manipulation of the bass in my daw so far is a eq with a slight boost at 100, very small dip at 600 and a slight boost at 900 (roughly speaking) The bass sound has gotten very good feedback from friends. Now please dont judge to hard on the guitars, I am doing my best!
All in all I feel good with my bass, there is however a constant itch to try more Dingwalls, really curious on the z models and their slimmer necks

I finally got around to restringing my SPj5 with Dunlop Super Bright nickels with the new tapered .130. They sound a feel great, a little lower tension and snappier than Dingwall nickels and I’m hoping for the same long life that I had when I originally used them a couple years ago before they started doing a tapered B string. I found that even when the strings were did they retained some liveliness and spank that I haven’t experienced in other nickel strings before.
Now I’m gonna go find a big piece of paper so I can send of a tracing to get a new pick guard.

Has anyone recently received a NG/Combustion that was ordered through a dealer or Dingwall direct?
I have a Combustion on order (ordered direct through Dingwall on Feburary 9th, 2019) and was quoted 12 months, and am wondering if the current basses being shipped out are on time, or if the lead time is behind.

This has probably been asked 1,000,000 times and I apologize in advance, as I don't have time to scroll backwards through the thread, but would any of you Dingwall 5 String NG3 owners be able to suggest a string gauge and brand that will adequately accommodate G, C, G, C, F tuning? I prefer a tight-but-not-too-tight tension (actual weight unknown) Thanks in advance!
