It looks like my quest to get another Dingwall has been delayed. I bought an NG2 off Reverb, the seller had a few issues getting to the shipping place and now no tracking number. He sent me a pic of the receipt yesterday and I called them today. Nothing from him coming to my location. I'll give him the customary 24 hour response and start the refund process.

What I like best is a "heads up" post here that includes a link to a Classifieds posting that contains the full details. That’s exactly what I did and confirmed that my NG-3 has the D-Bird switch. Now I’m wondering if I should replace it with the 3X…
On the other hand I like how my bass sounds and it doesn’t really matter which pickup configuration it is. It would be nice to test if I would really like the other sounds more.

Funny when you tell a seller your going to cancel the order and report them to Reverb/PayPal how fast you get a tracking number. Apparently the seller didn't ship it this weekend but after I messaged about cancelling. Hopefully the bass is as advertised.
Glad you got some satisfaction out of this. Crazy. What was that receipt that fool showed you if he hadn't actually shipped the bass?
I really don't get why people do this. Whenever I sell something, I always ship it ASAP. If there is going to be a delay in shipping, I'll let the buyer know upfront, or if something comes up unexpectedly, I let my buyer know immediately. Anything less just makes you look shady. I am referring to the folks who seem to magically find time to get to a shipper after they've been threatened with a cancellation when they couldn't get to a shipper before or, at least, let their buyer know about a delay.
I think it was an old receipt from a 2019 shipment. The lady from the shipping place said nothing from that person has been shipped from here since Jan of 2019. I have zero issues with a seller saying I can't ship this for a few days, is that ok? The message I received before the tracking number is a great indication of the person.
And I quote - "Yo i got a life to live, i cant always be available all the time. I got the tracking number. Don't trip."
All that and I still had to ask for the tracking number. Ah the trials and tribulations of buying online!
I would have been interested when I was upgrading my Combustion in 2018. I tried to order a Payson one-piece bridge but they had just stopped selling them. I wound up buying these Hipshots instead. They went right into the Combustion with no retrofitting necessary.
I'm sure this is already on your radar, but with a response like that be sure and THOROUGHLY check EVERYTHING on the bass when you receive it. If it's not as advertised you should have an easy case against this clown. Hopefully it all works out smoothly in the end.
If you ever need a lesson in tones that work live vs. 'living-room' tone, the NG-2 will educate you. It's so edgy and in your face, it's hard to tame at home. The magic comes when you throw it into a live mix. Amazing and so very satisfying.Finally got some good light and pleasant temps to take a pick of the whole bass yesterday. I like how the new black tuners fit visually.

I had the same realization wrt the B7K.
On its own I found the clean tone sterile and the distortion fizzy and annoying.
Once in the mix though ... oh boy
The guitarist couldn't stop laughing.Absolutely! I will go over that thing with a fine tooth comb. If something isn't right I will have a great case to send it back.
