THAT is DED SEXY!! At some point, I was hoping to see this exact finish on something. I've been pondering this finish since I got my Ceruse Red ABZ, and that confirms that it's AH-MAZING!

That finish, DGTC w/SP switches, SFII's, on a Z3=:drool::drool::drool::drool:
...or whatever headless design Sheldon comes up with...

Edit: just an FYI, Bass Direct has the Luminlay side dots as a $118(USD) option, which it is, but it actually is a standard part of the Blacked Out Neck option, so that bass should be $118 less expensive, unless it has Luminlay face dots, which I didn't see...just so ya' know. :thumbsup:;)

Is that a recent change? When I ordered my AB1 a couple of years ago, blacked out did not in any way include luminlay side dots. I don't really see how the two are related -- one is a heel and headstock veneer, the other is a bit more work on the side dots.

It is. A couple of years ago, the Blacked Out Neck option only included the heel and the headstock, the back of the neck was still standard maple. Now, the Blacked Out Neck option is the whole neck, so they’re very much related...
