Dingwall Owners Club

Here's one I made forever ago. It's short, kinda disgusting in how poorly it's played, but should inform your decision a little. Note: I also run through the 3x toggles for series/parallel.

I probably missed it, but what are the pickups? Thanks!

And not poorly played at all. I specialize in "poorly played," so I should know.

Thanks !
I'm very happy with it. I seen your Super PJ. Nice classic look. I'm surprised someone has not jumped on it..
I think I posted it for a few days and then pulled the ad. I've done that twice. Lol
Can't seem to part with it...maybe one day if I see something extra cool, I would use it as tradebait...but for now..it sits in pristine condition and thumps when I ask it too. :)

Nice !
I am GAS for a D-bird right now. But starting to think I should stay with the super series scale. I found out I can't manage 35" scale 5 strings. Im worried I will have the same issue with longer scale Dingwalls

Well you're not that far from me...plus my kid goes to Q University...so when I go back to bring her, I can bring my AB 4. You can try it out :)

I have to let out a sigh of relief, which happened last night.

For the past month or so I had been noticing an intermittent crackling/distortion when playing or recording my NG2. Nothing from any other basses or my Combustion. Then a few nights ago I was recording and it kept coming back way more frequently and it was driving me nuts! I decided it's time to start tearing stuff apart! I took the back control cavity off and poked around, checked the batteries, removed the batteries to go completely passive, removed the jack and fiddled with that. Nothing helped. It kind of seemed like the jack was the culprit until I plugged in my Combustion and had the same issue. ***?! I thought I had some cursed Dingwalls until I plugged my P bass in and had the same issue. That was the first sigh of relief. Lots of fiddling with bother basses, pedals and cables led me nowhere after that. I finally tried the basses through an amp separate from the recording rig and no noise at all.

So it must be the interface!

Lots of swearing and internet research later I found something for my specific interface that said to disable SPDIF in Pro Tools and bam! No more crackling distortion:thumbsup:

They sometimes post shipping room pics on their Instagram, this is the one:
