Dingwall Owners Club

I have been a happy observer and have enjoyed hearing everyone’s opinions and discussions for a couple of years.

You all (especially Nate) have peeked my interests and I really wanted to try a Dingwall Bass.

I have been playing a longtime and have high quality instruments but fanned frets and the Dingwall story forced me to say I have to get a Dingwall.

The worst part is the availability to try to one and I really did not want to wait a couple of more years to get one.

So I reached out to Nate (who I hold totally responsible) and of course he encouraged me to take the plunge.

So as of yesterday I am the Ecstatic owner of a new Dingwall AB II 6string and I am loving it.☺️

I am used to 5strings and I am playing beadg and eadgc but to have it all in one instrument is astounding.

That is one fine instrument you selected.
I can only imagine the how good it plays and sounds. If You ever need ME to own up to my responsibility for YOUR actions.....I commit to you now that I will play that bass for you anytime. Perhaps not as good but daaaaang, I’d play that.

Interesting. May I, like many others, recommend the Payson medium lights.

On my metal bass I prefer the Payson Stainless steel Or Dingwall. Heavy lean on the Payson.
On the other more versatile set ups, I still bounce a bit between the Dingwall nickels or Payson medium lights... again lean to Payson MLs.

Do you happen to know what Dingwalls ship with? I love the strings that came fresh on my NG2 and I'd like to buy another set.

I've really been enjoying D'Addario XLs a lot on my D-Birds. I get them from Fret Nation. I like their .145 more than Payson's .145 - it's got a clearer sound to it.
