I prefer a solid block myself. My current favorite markers are the ovals that I first saw on the Dbirds. I saw a video the other day of a Super P with oval markers - too cool.

Woah... I had that idea recently Regarding the ovals on a Super P. I didn’t realize that someone already went with it. Bet it looks nice!

I'd like to see that!

I think a black outline on the orange blocks on maple would have made them pop more. I love orange, but I think the orange blocks are bit too much for my taste.

I don't think his wife shot anything down, just that she showed an extraordinary lack of concern.

I've seen this sort of thing myself. I'll be describing, in detail, some fine point of bass gear, and it's all sighs and eye rolling. She seems distracted or maybe bored.

Indifference on an epic scale. No poops given, none.

I don't even show her the new stuff anymore. It goes straight to man cave or into the surf van.

Saw that on Reverb the other day, one of the best looking Z's I've ever seen. Had a sharp intake of breath at the price though.

Same. Saw it. Great top and paint. They did one with a wenge contrast and I preferred the look of it. Especially if it was masked off.
Beautiful bass though.

Powering up pre-amps causes a spike in the output - it's that loud popping sound when you plug in an active bass. Not something you want to happen during a performance. Active basses have standardized using the stereo jack to control the power to the pre-amp to prevent this from happening. If you want to use the ring for signal, I recommend removing/disconnecting the pre-amp entirely.

For stage I use:
Single stand:
GS414B PLUS

Double stand:
GS422B PLUS

And at home I have both wall hangers and a rack that holds 6.

I got my stand today. Thanks for the tip about this type of stand. What is it with me, like, I wont hesitate to buy a new Dingwall or lay out $500 for a HX Stomp only to receive it and find I don't like it then sell if for $425 2 days later, but I was thinking, oh, gee, $40 for a stand, that's quite a lot..Anyway, its a great stand and the top thing that locks the head-stock in, that is really nice. Just need to keep a certain little 3 year old girl away from it when she visits (GF's granddaughter), of whom I have to play "Baby Shark" on the bass for every-time.

All I needed was one clumsy drummer to knock a Dingwall valued at equal to or more than my car off of my old stand to see that the latching Hercules are the right thing. If you're more worried with a 3 year old, you could look into one of these...I have a few for home use...and they can be hung high on a wall out of reach of small hands.

All I needed was one clumsy drummer to knock a Dingwall valued at equal to or more than my car off of my old stand to see that the latching Hercules are the right thing. If you're more worried with a 3 year old, you could look into one of these...I have a few for home use...and they can be hung high on a wall out of reach of small hands.

Oh I wish I bought that! I reposted the pictures from Reverb so we could all drool as a collective
