Dingwall Owners Club

Just noticed a Super P 5 is up on Kijiji if any Canadian Dingwall brothers were looking for one. It's in Ontario but the seller says he'll ship. Figured I'd give you guys a heads up haha.

yes sir. That’s Rich. He’s got it listed here in the classifieds as well. It’s a really really nice P

Nice one. Not the finish for me, but someone will definitely love it. 5pc neck and wenge board is a nice combo.

I replied on your facebook post about this. They come with nickel/steel, which are a bit less bright than the steels. :) If you give them some time they'll simmer down. The only current option for flats that are specifically made for 34"-37" fanned basses are are Payson's. There've been some limited runs along the way (La Bella did some), but that's about it for now.

Nice one, thanks. I'll stick with what I've got in that case.

(I didn't post anything on Facebook so must have a doppelganger!)

I got a D-Roc in the mail yesterday. I always thought the hype was purely manufactured, but man alive...

How did I go this long without playing a Dingwall?! I LOVE the pickups, partly due to the honeymoon phase, but still!!! They're amazing! Does anyone know if the same configuration is default/possible on an AB1 or ABZ? Or are the FD3Ns and the FDVs that different? I'm 100% on board with acquiring a Canadian-made Dingy in the not-so-distant future.

You can have a 3X ABZ (AB1 or AB2) built, i'm sure Dingwall can build you an AB that sounds as close as possible to the D-Roc if you ask them
That said, the pickups in a D-roc standard (assuming you're talking standard and not custom?) are very slightly closer to the neck than on the AB line, plus the different woods on the AB will also change the tone a little.

Congrats! Is it D-Roc 4 string Standard?

Yeah, in aquamarine sparkle (so shiny...). Nothing too out of the ordinary!
I love this finish on this bass! Very outstanding. I’ve ordered my DRoc 5 Standard in vintage burst, like the one in the picture.

I've got one of the D-roc Standard 5 strings coming in March ( in blue-purple colour-shift ).
Love hearing positive reviews on the D-roc. I'm getting a bit excited LOL

I wish Dingwall would have kept the matching headstock edges. Probably the only gripe I have with the instrument atm. The 5'er looks stellar!

Backstory: The first batch came out and the finishing work on the color accented edge wasn't up to what either the shop nor the customers expectations were. In the end, I believe it was a bit too fussy for a production instrument to make it work logistically.

@BurningSkies

Did you take that picture? :)

Unfortunately...No! I wish I had. :) Jule mentioned that my name did come up though! Two of my most favorite artists in the Bass realm in one place, both have gone above and beyond to provide first class support & some really wonderful custom instruments for me, and both I consider friends. Alas, my playing schedule hasn't allowed for NAMM visits though I've been offered entry and hospitality for a handful of shows.

Lots of us Dingwall-Jule Amps players out there...

I love their proud smiles - echoing ours playing with their creations :)
