I love the high-end presence of the Glocks. To me, they bring 'more of everything' - neutral and musical at the same time. :cool: I also agree with your assessment of the DGTC. :bassist: Is it me, or does the DGTC have a bass boost with its control at its detent? I always roll the bass back a bit for balance...

The Glock was my favourite and I haven’t lost any love for it. I think I’m circling around back to my fundamental love for metal and am appreciating the Darkglass quite a bit these days but that said I used glockenklang for 10 years in a metal band.

I just see 2 really awesome flavours.

I’ve been contemplating(again) selling off one of my six strings loaded with the glock as I head down this path of darkness (again).

But then I play it and I think I’ll be regretting it very quickly.

but then I count the limited hours in the day I have to play.

but then I realize I should spend more time playing and less time online... even if I’m multitasking while doing so.

but then I think of how enabled I’ve been by the classifieds and the gained knowledge.

but then I post something ******** like this.....

This is the one thing I hate about Reverb. Sure, they have their "price guides" if there are enough sales of the exact product, but being able to search on sold items is very helpful on eBay. I don't understand why this isn't an option. Well, maybe there are two things. Increasing fees to 5% does not go unnoticed.

As to tone, very nice, but not better than my SJ5XXX with the middle Ptone PUP solo'd (I changed the PUP leads to accomplish this). For me, the Super J was easier to play.

Thanks for your opinions. So was it just rhe string to string balance that makes the super J easier for you to play or any other factors?

String-to-string feel was awesome as with all Dingwalls. The string-to-string volume/punch was a little different playing straight across the strings which is a trait my SJ5XXX doesn't exhibit. Gigging or at volume it wasn't apparent, so let's just chalk it up as my issue.

Speaking of string to string volume, i still need to adjust the P-tone a bit. The D string is a touch too loud compared to the E string
