Dingwall Owners Club

Where can I buy a Dingwall soft case? I might just be a fool, but I can't find anything online.

If they're not widely available, what's everyone's favorite choice for a nice but not extravagant soft case? I have a Combustion 4 string.

I've bought several used Dingwall gig bags right here on TB. Some folks think they need the added protection of a hard case and dump the gig bag as soon as they get their Dingwall.

Admittedly I was skeptical at first, but now I strongly prefer a well made gig bag over any hard case I've owned.

If you're looking for a Dingwall branded case, I am not sure they sell them separately. It looks like the current ones are the Music Area RB30.

My personal favourite is the Access Stage 3 gig bag. If you want nice, but not too much of a gig bag, the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] is also nice.

Last night I finally had full band rehearsal with this metal project that just hired me. It's in A standard and the NG3 just crushed it!! The FD-3 pickups are absolutely perfect for this. After the first tune they were all so impressed with the clarity of the bass - I can play, but I don't think I've played a bass that can achieve that level of clarity down low.

Their former guy used a similar bass rig as me but with a warwick thumb. His tone sounded like an 808 topped with someone dropping metal shards into a metal bucket. Not "clean" by any means, lol.

Super stoked on this setup. I can't believe I'm playing metal again. It's been at least 15 years, hahaha!

So for those NG owners who have upgraded to black hardware, where did you get the tuners and bridge pieces? I got the Canadian knobs and now I want to do the rest.

Tuners from Hipshot and bridge from Payson. Unfortunately, he doesn't make the black four-string one-piece bridge anymore.

I got my parts from Jason at Fret Nation. For some reason, the hipshot solos just didn't feel "right" to me so I kept the black saddles but sold the plates. I like the look of the smoked chrome plates and black saddles. Makes it a little unique, lol.
